    Problem is Frank Thomas didn’t have another guaranteed 11 milion dollar salary the next season. They will be patient with Morales. And give him every opurtunity to play.

    Awful at-bats by Grichuk and Morales. But atleast we tied it.

    Oh no doubt Solarte would destroy him in WAR. Like I said I understand why Gift is playing. I would much rather have Solarte playing and Gift not on the roster at all if possible.

    Ground ball pitcher on the mound. Want your best defensive infield. Pretty simple really. Solarte can play SS in a pinch but not nearly as well as Gift can.

    Well if he can help him I’m sure he would. But its usually not as simple as telling him to hold the ball a different way. Estrada explained in Spring how he mastered “killing” his lower half. So he’s throwing changeups like his fastball as hard as he can he just doesn’t have nearly as much behind the pitch. I doubt that formula works for everyone and I would imagine that would be difficult to command.

    Just getting in. Not a fan of them moving Granderson out of the lead off spot. He was a catalyst last night and has been hitting balls hard. While Travis has been scuffling. Would have been good opurtunity to hit him lower in the lineup until he warms up. I understand why Gift is playing over Solarte tho.

    Sanchez is pitching so it probably will be Gift at SS and Solarte out of the lineup. Solarte probably starts at SS if Estrada was pitching.

    Hes going to be a hot commodity at the Trade Deadline. If the Phillies are remotely competitive they will probably try anything to get him back.
