  1. Tepera comes to save the day!!!
  2. Feldman this game as a long man?
  3. That ball was on the inside corner for strike 3 to Ramirez!!
  4. The game is on espn2 for anyone who has that channel and would rather listen to Shulman instead of Martinez and Tabler.
  5. Nobody can predict baseball from one game to the next or one pitch to the next, even if something seems very probable or improbable. I thought the Royals were toast last year in that playoff game against the Astros and they ended up winning the World Series. The Giants in 2002 were 8 outs away from winning and the rally monkey awoke. And of course the Rangers 2011 last strike twice collapse will probably never be topped!
  6. The Blue Jays have good fans. The Mariners had under 20,000 for a game tonight in the last series of the year where they're only 2 games out of a playoff spot! And they have the longest current playoff drought going back to 2001. You'd think they would draw alot better when they're playing meaningful baseball the last week of the regular season. I guess that's what happens when the Blue Jays AREN'T in town!!
  7. He's cheaper than Smoak and aside from a few bad games recently, has been one of their better relievers this season. Also, I like his passion on the mound and the energy he displays as an almost 40 year-old who still enjoys the game, and not just going through the motions for a paycheck. I remember when Isringhausen was blowing games in St. Louis, he would just nonchalantly walk off the mound, chomping on his gum, like it's no big deal, he's getting paid anyway. Speaking of Smoak, what do you think the front office's long-term plan is with him? Regardless if Encarnacion is coming back or if someone else on the team is permanently moved to 1st base, or someone is brought in from another organization, I can't see Smoak being much more than the backup first baseman or an occasional late-inning defensive replacement that he already is. It just seems odd that the front office would be so quick to resign someone of his calibre when there are plenty of other players they could bring in during the off-season that could replicate or even surpass his production. It would be hard to believe that he would be considered for an everyday position, even as a designated hitter. I read somewhere that he seems to hit better from his natural side, the right side, and has issues with the curve ball when hitting left-handed. Obviously, the front office sees him as some sort of use, I'm assuming as an emergency plan b to have in their back pocket while they look for someone more productive from his position.
  8. Colon was down 2-0 in the count to Gordon and didn't want to walk the leadoff hitter who's a stolen base threat, so he gave him something to hit.
  9. Mlb.com said it was his shoulder.
  10. I almost forgot Ceciliani was a September call up. It's only his second appearance of the month.
  11. Maybe Travis reaggravated the same shoulder as last season. The replay of him wincing in the batter's box looked similar to when he was injured in 2015.
  12. Mlb.com said that it was a calf injury.
  13. "Look to the cookie, Elaine, look to the cookie!" Saunders can just stay in Seattle when the team leaves town. Mariners can have him back.
  14. When I went to Busch Stadium to see the Blue Jays it was in June and I sat in the air-conditioned suite with all you can eat and all-you-can-drink tickets!
  15. I used to go to Toronto once every year in the early 2000's to see the Blue Jays but now I haven't seen a Blue Jays game since they came to St Louis in 2011. But they come to St Louis next April of 2017!
  16. I've been a night person for over 15 years so West Coast games are around the middle of my "day"!!
  17. Yes, when Frasier had the picture with the big forehead! The other quote was from the dinner party episode. Frasier was my favourite show!
  18. Look like a fugitive from Easter Island! The summer she danced Agamemnon at Jacob's pillow!
  19. Looks like the same lineup as yesterday except for Saunders replacing Upton in left field.
  20. I lived briefly in Seattle in late 2002 and went to a few Mariners and Sonics games. Zindorf apartments!! Took a weekend trip to Vancouver with barely any money and basically just walked the city for a couple days since I couldn't even afford a taxi. Naively, walked to Pacific Coliseum past some supposed "bad area of town", something called Hastings. Coming from St Louis, it reminded me of home!! Saw people smoking pot out in the open, something I wasn't used to seeing.
  21. Last scheduled doubleheader in the Kingdome was in the 80s way before the Frasier show ever came out
  22. I remember an episode on Frasier where Martin was talking about going to a doubleheader at the Kingdome which doesn't make any sense because they never had any rainouts there, and I don't believe they had any scheduled doubleheaders back in the 90s.
  23. "It smell like a veeectory!!" - Chacin
