  1. He's still gettin paid no matter how he performs. We must be in the wrong profession...
  2. You must be afraid that Osuna is gonna turn into Byung-hyun Kim at Yankee Stadium
  3. Chris Carter will be clutch in the wild card game against New York. He'll be 1-4 with 3 strikeouts and a game winning home run
  4. Luckily Minnesota still has something to play for so they'll be fielding their very best team against the Royals in their home park
  5. David Wells pitched a perfect game hungover so Hutchison couldn't be any worse than he usually is unless he starts pitching like Rick Ankiel!!
  6. Maybe the Blue Jays should fly Tim Johnson into Baltimore for Drew's start so he can tell him some of his "Vietnam" stories so he'll be more motivated to pitch better!!
  7. I felt more unsafe walking to Pacific coliseum in Vancouver and having to walk on Hastings street which I was told by locals was dangerous. There were people staring at me when I walked by and offering me "stuff". Also seeing a guy on rollerblades in downtown smoking a joint in broad daylight caught me off guard but I'm from the uptight Midwest, but getting back to baseball, Hutchison pitching on the road in the afternoon after a night out partying....ahhhhhhhhhhh! I won't be able to sleep now thinking about that! Maybe the Jays should wear their road grays for once, change it up. Hopefully they don't wear their alternate blue jerseys for every road game in the playoffs, but I bet they do. I'm kinda tired of seeing them. The starting pitcher gets to decide so maybe Drew should pick the grays to change his luck. Tulowitzki and Price haven't even worn the road grays yet. Reminds me of Matt Clement ALWAYS wearing the Cubs blue jersey when he pitched cuz he didn't like how the other jerseys felt on his body
  8. Edwin's home run trot is a lot better than Jeffrey Leonard's!! Dmitri Young had something similar to EE
  9. I was getting nervous watching Stroman jumping up and down in the locker room with that wet floor from the champagne etc just thinking how he's on a surgically repaired knee even though it's as good as new but just thinking, please don't slip and tear your knee celebrating...
  10. Not sure what those are. I was just wearing a winter coat, hat and gloves. It was a cold son of a bitch. I had to stop at 24 hour coffee shops every few blocks to warm up. 4 hours down and 4 hours back. I just wanted to see if I could do it. The CN Tower looked SO close from my university apartment window but it was like 12 miles away. I'm nuts I know!! I don't know how the homeless people do it in the winter time. They must be used to it. I remember the dome was open for a September game against the Yankees and I was up in the 500 section behind home plate and was wearing shorts and I got so cold after the sun went down I had to leave before the game ended. And they were playing the YANKEES and I left. What a puss I am!! But this was 2003 when the Jays were already out of it and Josh Beckett would eventually shut down the pinstripes in the world series
  11. The only time I kinda felt unsafe was when I was on King street west of immediate downtown at about 4 in the morning and I was looking to buy beer off of someone in the street and this hippie lookin guy on a bike who was acting like he was on acid tried to help me out and took me to this shady neighborhood where I saw this guy charging down the sidewalk with a big piece of wood in his hand and grunting to himself like he was getting ready to beat the s*** out of someone and I changed my mind about the beer and took off back towards the east to the nearest taxi with " bike guy" on my tail!!
  12. Let's have an after hours party at the Guvernment especially if Digweed is spinning, hahaha!!! I'd have to get a passport first and I "may" even consider breaking my 7 month sobriety
  13. Just experience from living in st louis for 34 years and following the news everyday and driving through the rough areas of town while on my delivery job. St Louis has always had a reputation of being a dangerous city. Even depicted in some movies like National Lampoon's vacation and planes trains and automobiles. I've been to Toronto many times and even lived there for 8 months and I walked the streets at all hours of the night and never felt like I was in danger. And I even walked from York University where I was living to downtown and back in the dead of winter and never felt scared. 25 miles round trip!
  14. Yeah that Cleveland/Detroit makeup game is not gonna be played now since the Indians just got officially eliminated
  15. Looks like Mark is pitching on Saturday now so he'd have to pitch a complete game to reach 200 since I doubt he would be able to come out of the bullpen the very next day to pitch a few innings, but I guess he has the rest of his life to rest his arm so maybe he'll try to go back to back since he'll be used sparingly in the playoffs anyway if at all.
  16. If you guys think Baltimore is not safe, st Louis is much worse. I live less than 30 minutes from Ferguson and we just had fans get shot while leaving the Cardinals game here the other day. Another day in the city. If Toronto fans came here for the world series, you'd want to take a taxi wherever you went. No walking the downtown streets. I've been to Jane and Finch. That's nothing compared to some of the areas of st Louis. Just don't be like Kevin Stevens and take a taxi over to east st Louis. That didn't work out too well for him!!!
  17. The National League central used to be the joke of baseball, but now not quite so much, even though Milwaukee and Cincinnati are pretty bad. Imagine Joey Votto playing for the jays. His talent is so wasted in the queen city. He plays his heart out every game and never takes an at bat off, even for a last place team. Anthopolous wants guys with character. Votto sounds like a good team player. Tell Jocketty he can have Encarnacion back, only he would be playing first base this time. Hahaha, that trade would never happen. Old Walt only likes former Cardinals who are past their prime. He even gave Isringhausen a tryout a few years ago when he was more than done.
  18. Greetings and salutations!! I like to stream Prime time sports with Bobcat while I'm driving around here in st louis. I wish the Jays never got rid of their PA announcer Murray Eldon. Imagine him announcing players in the playoffs...Troy Tulo-wit-skiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!
  19. It's still unbelievable that the Blue Jays had 88 wins in 1998 and STILL finished 26 games out of first place...f***in Yankees. And they had 4 more wins than the world series champion cardinals in 2006 and didn't even make the playoffs that year. So I think it's fair that the Jays have the benefit of home field advantage in the world series even if they had to play the Cardinals who have the best record in baseball. That would even out "some" of the bad luck they've had by being in the hardest division while having pretty good teams, but nothing to show for it.
  20. The Blue Jays players should tell Alex Rodriguez that the division is "MINE" just like he told the infielders when he was running the bases on that pop up!
  21. I've been a Blue Jays fan since the first game I went to in Kansas City in 1999, and I've always been a Mark Buehrle fan since he's from my hometown here in Missouri. So he would be my favourite player on the team and it would be really neat if he could get to 200 innings this year. But, it looks like his start has been pushed to Saturday so he'd basically have to throw a complete game since I wouldn't think he'd be able to come back out of the bullpen the very next day, but who knows...This is Cardinals country obviously where I live and my brother and I are the only Blue Jays fans that I know of in the area and we're both still in shock that they've clinched the division. All my friends are Cardinals fans and I told them that we'll see them in the World Series and they think the Cardinals pitching can actually shut down the Blue Jays offense. I just laughed. Yeah Rosenthal, just keep throwing those fastballs, the Jays would do what the Brewers did to him over the weekend!!!
