    Ummmm my eyes lol? Grilli didn't shake at all, and threw a pitch in the centre of plate, directly in front of Martin's glove (which didn't move at all) before it was smashed. It doesn't take a f***ing astrophysicist to connect those dots..

    He's been a negative "offensive" talent the past 2 years before this one and the peripherals suck. I don't see how he'd be a good DH?

    How? He's been replacement level 3 years running. The past two years, he actually posted -10 and -8 offensive WAR.

    I don't know lol, they certainly talk about him a lot. Atkins gushes about him.

    They fixed his mechanics, from what I read. His walks are dramatically down and his K rate remains. His GB% has also exploded up. He looks like a future ace, he would be near untouchable unless the return is amazing imo. He likely will be untouchable anyways though with Shapiro at the helm.

    Eh, I'm not even sure with Gray. I mean, it could just be a slight mechanical/usage change away from a fix, but he's not really trending well. Walks are up, K's are down, FIP/xFIP are very mediocre. He looks like a #3/4 right now, and I wouldn't give up SRF for that. I would give him up for Myers though!

    Should be just like Pelfrey, and Kennedy, should have been. I'm not banking on anything anymore lol. It's hard to predict who will smashable.

    Carrera's looks so different this season. Eddy and Bats must have really helped his approach, and the peripherals back it.

    I have no idea why we always seem to be linked to Jay Bruce. Shapiro always goes on about the "win curve" and how to improve the team by fractions of a win and the risk attached to it in the trade market in-season. And somehow we're linked to a guy who, even in a great offensive year (for his standards), is worth 0 WAR lol.

    How's his stuff? Him and Matt Dermody look like legit BP options on number at least.

    Donaldson up to 5.3 WAR now, tied with Trout again. It's still crazy that he's pacing better than last season. They're a full 1 WAR ahead of the competition as well, so if the pace continues JD is a two-year MVP.

    Compared to options like Lake and Smoak being in the lineup, I'll take Carrera all day everyday. He has great peripherals for where he's hitting as well, but you won't see many on here give him credit for it. 1.2 WAR in 178 PAs is pretty good.

    Totally. I do think the payroll will be going up enough to support re-signing 1 of Edwin/Jose (Jose would likely cost much less at this point). I think simply re-signing 1 of Edwin/Jose and signing Josh Reddick would be great! We would already have Dickey/Jose or Edwin/etc salary coming off the books to help as it is. A couple shrewd moves to build back up the rotation depth and bullpen, and it would be a great off-season.
