    I think it was, but Gibby was given the final say from Shapiro and Atkins. The analytics team could have yelled Liriano til their blue in the face but it was always Gibby's call. Shapiro is just trying to spread the blame to protect Gibby and the organization.

    I'm not sure what to even think when a former player says something like this, especially a pretty good one. It's definitely disappointing, though I'd imagine part of it has to do with his unabashed love for Toronto and its team.

    We'll need the offense to strike early, and let's hope Stroman has his strikeout stuff/intent tonight, because he hasn't been that guy at all vs the Orioles this season and the results have been underwhelming. This guy is very welcome, especially if he's on like in Cleveland or Houston.

    He starts trying to P2C even more (ie 0-2 2SM several times), to attempt to try and complete the game by minimizing his count, and pays for it.

    The thought process will be Trout is the BPA but can't lead the Angels, Donaldson's good but he didn't hit .300 like Betts and we already gave him one last year. That's the MLB Network take lol.

    Not sure about that. He loves to P2C which is treacherous in the BP.

    And that's at only 191 IP. Imagine he continued this pace for the same IP as Kluber/Verlander. If he did, he'd be in better position for the CY.
