    I think you're giving the players way too much credit for being "good sportsmen". I guarantee you there are players on every team that be very enthusiastic in the crease once the chips are down and things get serious.

    He got paid. Sometimes players show you exactly who they are after the contract is signed. I hope that's not him, but can't rule it out.

    Look at what Kypreos did to Grant Fuhr back in 95 or 96 against the Blues in the first round. He accidentally crashed into him on purpose and knocked him out of the series. Leafs couldn't beat Jon Casey either so it was a moot point, but it could and has happened. I don't think anyone will purposely B-line it to Samsonov and try to remove his head, but if they're in the crease area and happen to get knocked towards the goalie, they're gonna fall into him a little harder than normal.

    Home ice is in jeopardy only if the Leafs completely collapse and the Bolts run the table and catch them. The only other thing that really matters is making sure the team is as healthy as possible going in to game 1. That includes resting key pieces in games where you think things might get chippy. At this point they're not going to learn anything new or become a great shutdown defensive team. They are what they are. Let's hope they stay in one piece.

    I doubt there was ever a ship to begin with. I don't think moving Bo to 2B was ever seriously considered.

    Didn't have a chance to watch any of the game. I see Bassitt got blown up. What was his stuff like? Good stuff but command was off, or was the stuff crap.

    I actually don't mind Holl... But he's not a top 4 guy. If you use him as a bottom pairing guy he's perfectly fine.

    I mean...They've had excellent defensive OFs throughout their existence. But have they ever had all 3 OF positions filled with such defensive wizards at the same time? I'm not so sure.
