    Apparently, the Jays were going to draft Parker Noland in the 4th rd (Marlins took him in the 31st). Called him before they picked and offered him $489K. He said no. He wants $750K

    I've seen plenty of picks show 'Toronto Blue Jays' on their Twitter profile, and end up not signing. It likely is a foregone conclusion that both are signing, but until that ink is on the contract I'm not getting ahead of myself.

    I bought the trimmer last summer. Works great. Bought the mower about a month ago. Love it. I have a decent sized yard and it drains like a quarter of the charge. I'll likely get the leaf blower one day when my gas one finally craps out. The hedge clippers look promising too.

    Jays 26th rounder is interesting...Jean-Christophe Masson. Why? Cause he doesn't turn 17 until August 22. Not quite sure what the deal with that is...did he skip a grade and he's graduation this June?

    You sounds like a unionized employee. If they don't like the offer, they don't have to sign...but these agreements are made before the draft even takes place. If they don't like the $5K, teams just won't draft them...and they can take their chances at finding a deal as an undrafted FA. Of course it's cap/pool manipulation, but MLB did this to themselves by creating this slot system. Less talented players are just not going to get rewarded with any sort of substantial signing bonus.

Through 56 games, Talley hit .356/.459/.512 with a career-high eight home runs and more walks (15.7 percent rate) than strikeouts (11.8 percent rate) for the first time in his career. Talley’s offensive improvement puts him on the radar as a senior sign, as he’s routinely hit the ball hard and is now seeing that power translate to games. Defensively, Talley is reliable with the glove and has the defensive actions for the left side of the infield, but below-average arm strength makes him a better fit for second base.

    This is true. But I still like that he thinks a lot of himself. He'll need to back it up of course. ...but on another note, players with that kind of confidence, you wouldn't think, would normally come in under slot.
