Habs ended up giving up more than Carolina did in compensation to trade for an older, worse player in Christian Dvorak to save $1.6m

That's probably the right move, but they're gonna piss off a lot of their fans seeing as they deem KK a "core" piece, and they've essentially traded him for a couple of picks, right after going to the finals. A tough sell to their fans. I love that they've been put in this position
