    Detroit doesn't deserve the hate it gets. I used to visit Detroit 4 - 5 times a year and nothing ever ever happened. I used to walk around with my good expensive DSLR and no one bothered me, all it is white media over hyping s***. At night don't go around with your phone screen at 274% to attract attention like any major city, I have honestly had more sketchier moments in Milwaukee, Oakland, San Fransisco, Las Vegas than I ever had in Detroit. Stay at the Motor City Hotel and Casino, it is where all the ball players stay, it is pretty dope. Cleveland is fine, West 5th street has some good pubs and s*** but Cleveland is overall pretty forgettable, it is the mistake by the lake. Pittsburgh is a better version of Hamilton. I have visited a lot over the years, stay downtown near the ballpark (best park in the majors besides SF) and take a cab to the southside and party it up, cheap booze, good times and a really fun and forgotten American city in my opinion.
