Pillar isn't Edwin, is he? Can't really compare the two. Pillar still has a lot to prove, Edwin is a proven slugger. Pillar is the type of player that needs to go hard on every play and put pressure on the defence and hope to beat one out or force and error from time to time. Edwin is the type of player that smashes the ball off the windows.
Watch the guy...never runs out ground balls, makes selfish plays (could have been a total disaster yesterday), had the tantrum in his rookie year and just the way he carries himself. Seems like a dick to me.
The only problem I have with Pillar is his massive ego and he plays selfishly. As long as he's not a disruption to the team I have no problem with us keeping him but it wouldn't break my heart to see someone else out there either.
Meanwhile in Yankeeland.

I'm nitpicking and this isn't the time to do that but fysmc.
Anyone else notice how Pillar never runs out all the way to first when he grounds out? He's the only one on the team that does that. Good thing he's superman in the field because he seems like kind of a dick.
I agree he's not coming here, hence the disclaimer. But, that was a different time. His daughter is older now, the stadium situation in Oakland is annoying him, etc. Those are the "points" Bob made.
I'd quote Twitter but I don't know how. Official Jays twitter confirmed Chavez is going, so it's likely the A's website just hasn't been updated. Seems like the decision was just made.
