  1. At the start of the season most people thought the Yankees were too old and would break down in the second half. It's the second half, and they are breaking down. No doubt they have strong pitching but the way Girardi is overtaxing their bullpen, that is going to breakdown eventually too imo. But then, I'm a homer.
  2. Even if the Jays were to lose this series, if you watched the Yankees series against the Indians...you'd probably not be too worried. They are free falling.
  3. It would be funny if they got him for say Sunday's game, and he tripped on the turf and rolled his ankle. Well not funny...but the irony would be kind of delicious.
  4. Imagine if he ended up a Yankee?
  5. The key is to get into the bullpen tonight, they are gassed.
  6. The word yesterday was he was available to pinch hit in yesterday's game but they were being extra cautious so he didn't start. Should be ready for tonight.
  7. Pillar isn't Edwin, is he? Can't really compare the two. Pillar still has a lot to prove, Edwin is a proven slugger. Pillar is the type of player that needs to go hard on every play and put pressure on the defence and hope to beat one out or force and error from time to time. Edwin is the type of player that smashes the ball off the windows.
  8. I've been watching him the past few games. He has not run out a single ground ball. Or if he has, I must have missed an at bat.
  9. Watch the guy...never runs out ground balls, makes selfish plays (could have been a total disaster yesterday), had the tantrum in his rookie year and just the way he carries himself. Seems like a dick to me.
  10. The only problem I have with Pillar is his massive ego and he plays selfishly. As long as he's not a disruption to the team I have no problem with us keeping him but it wouldn't break my heart to see someone else out there either.
  11. *looks outside* Guess the dome will be closed tonight...
  12. Man I wish Dickey was pitching on Saturday to put them right back in a slump
  13. Two places Colabello has no place in -- the field and a toothpaste commercial. But as a DH you can't really complain.
  14. We've reached 9/11 status in Baltimore, congrats everyone!
  15. Meanwhile in Yankeeland. http://www.forums.mlb.com/discussions/New_York_Yankees/General/Whats_with_all_the_Jays_fans_on_here/ml-yankees/550955.1?nav=messages
  16. Navarro ordering pitches like they're the sub of the day
  17. Unreal we won with most of our regulars sitting. Could pay dividends in the weekend series. If the Yanks lose tonight I might jizz my pants.
  18. Pillar more concerned with making the highlight reel than not being a retard
  19. I'm nitpicking and this isn't the time to do that but fysmc. Anyone else notice how Pillar never runs out all the way to first when he grounds out? He's the only one on the team that does that. Good thing he's superman in the field because he seems like kind of a dick.
  20. I hope we don't go too deep into their bullpen today, they play the O's starting tomorrow
  21. I agree he's not coming here, hence the disclaimer. But, that was a different time. His daughter is older now, the stadium situation in Oakland is annoying him, etc. Those are the "points" Bob made.
  22. Maybe Bob was right and he's the next Jays President. Disclaimer: This post was not even remotely serious.
  23. Wait, you're dead and in heaven, and Stroman has lost 4 games?
