I'd be livid if we traded for Bruce. He has been complete and total **** the last 2 years. -0.8 fWAR combined. Saunders, even with his injuries, is a significant upgrade in the wRC+, OBP, and defensive departments just based on projections. Of course, this is assuming he can even play. Not to mention he already never wanted to come here when he was good since he only took Toronto off his NTC now that he's s***. It's the baseball equivalent of a fairly hot girl you like hating you, and then only being into you a few years later when she looks like Pablo Sandoval. Unless we give up nothing and Cincinnati eats a ton of money and we can somehow fix Bruce... ugh.

As frustrating as he was to watch on the field with all his limitations... dude's a hell of a hard worker and a personality, so I can respect that. Best of luck to him in Chicago. Maybe we can even pull a John Scott and get him into the all star game. More incentive for us to do it since it sabotages the NL and we're in the AL.

Mike Ilitch is really taking this YOLO thing too far. I can see them being a good team (they have the 2nd best lineup next to us IMO), and their rotation could be solid if Norris develops and Verlander (HUGE wildcard) goes well. -
Anyways, what do people think of Cliff Lee? If we do trade away Dickey to fill other areas of need, sniping Lee on an incentive-laden deal could be nice (big risk, big reward). Plus, Shapiro and Lee are pretty familiar with each other.

That's probably what they did. Besides, think about it this way? What if the Jays do come in and lowball Price? Then you're playing your cards while some motherf***er like JP Morosi is tweeting out "Price offered 6/120 by the Jays, severe low ball, other FA's potentially balking?" (adding more drama to try and make a clickbait piece) and as a result, theJays screw themselves out of a lot of FA's or have to pay extra in negotiations. Know when to held em, hold em close to the vest if you do, and know when to fold em. -
Lowry is the man. Almost singlehandedly won this game... well, okay, Bebe really did well too. Him and Lowry have been gold on the lob connection. Can some idiot GM please pay DeMar stupid money this offseason? He's James Harden without a jumper.

They're only hope is another 2013 where everything goes right again. The Jays and Yanks are both still better than them. Who knows with the Rays, I swear they pull some Jim Hickey magic every year with the pitching and find solid hitters out of the bargain bin, so who knows. The O's are definitely the worst team now in the division. I still have the Red Sox 3rd or 4th. Maybe 2nd if something stupid happens and a WC spot, but I think they fall short. -
Sadly, his glass ankles were really taking their toll. I love Amir. I do. But the dude never wanted to get those surgically repaired and still wears those low cut shoes.

We scored less pts in the 2nd half than either of the first 2 quarters... for f***s sakes. Seriously, ISO after ISO after ISO after ISO... like, f***ing move the ball around. Good god, I swear, this team will be so much better off when DeMar is let go and Casey is fired.
