  1. Something is brewing with a few teams. Playoff Teams who have as of yet not consummated a trade: Jays Rays Twins Mets Dodgers we know the Twins and Rays will never give up a ton of prospects for Soto... This leaves the Jays, Dodgers, and Mets. If I was a betting man it has come down to the Jays and Dodgers and the Dodgers will ALWAYS OUT TRUMP everyone else in a bidding war!
  2. I’m hoping and I’d say 20% chance we get him but if we do this is a big one with 2-3 players from Nationals and 5-6 from Jays. The only reason and I mean ONLY reason I have any hope is that Atkins an Co. Felt they let one go in not getting Gerrit Cole! So this might be the big “Marketing” splash they need to sell Rogers cable and mobile phone subscriptions lol.
  3. To be honest and this is just my opinion, I do not think they are going to see Bo locked up to a long term deal..., stuff coming out about his family which is unfortunate for Bo and the Jays, there were some mention a while back that his agent or him were not interested in negotiating a long term deal at this time. No mention from Bo himself in any interview that he would love to be here long term. Who knows maybe the Jays will flip Bo for Soto wouldn't that shake up the Blue Jays fans base. Acquire another shortstop at the trade deadline! The forum here would go crazy and want Atkins head on a silver platter but could benefit both teams if Bo is high tailing it out of here as a free agent!

  5. I think 5-6 teams are all making a strong push for Soto and with him being a lifetime # 1 talent that comes along at age 23 the nationals have told these 5-6 teams they are evaluating offers and will make a decision by noon tomorrow out of respect for the 5 teams that do not get Soto they still have a few hours to complete fallback trades. I really really think GM's are saying 2.5 years of Soto (playoff caliber in next 2 years) are really taking a serious look at this opportunity and it is holding up everything else until the rest of the dominos fall. The Jays could be one of those teams and it would cost us our #1 prospect Moreno, Gurriel (Free up outfield log-jam and Nationals will want a good Outfielder back for 2 years), Pearson, and our the #1 pitching prospect Tiedemann. Atkins has said they will always trade for once in a lifetime talent if it will supplement the Blue Jays core so who knows??? I doubt the Jays will be the winners in this though...
  6. That would cost us one of our top two prospects and an MLB player (Biggio or Jansen).
  7. Not sure to be honest??? one would think it probably has to do with switching teams and letting them know before the game is over versus having them already left on team bus. Nothing imminent on any trades just a comment I read somewhere.
  8. Hearing two things today on chatter… 1. If Jays and Tigers do a trade it won’t be announced until after 7th inning onwards to not affect the players in the current game! 2. Morosi has indicated that this could be the wildest last minute trade deadline in history as all teams are waiting for buyers/sellers to blink as buyers are trying to avoid overpaying. Last 3-4 hours of trade deadline could by crazy!
  9. Again, I was not selling on Cimber directly but Detroit would not take back our other couple of s*** relievers... I would prefer to keep Cimber but he would be the ask back from Detroit cause we just gutted their bullpen... that's all.
  10. Fair point on Cimber but I prefer 8-9 inning high leverage guys for a playoff run! Also, my whole point is we need 2 very high leverage pitchers to be added to our bullpen. f***, if our closer goes down right now our chances of making the playoffs is over in my opinion. We need a second 9th inning guy for backup and and another hard thrower for the 8th inning. But so does every other god dam team so will be an overpay regardless!
  11. I know it is an overpay but to get 3 of their top relievers you would have to offer up Jansen, Cimber is an “ask” throw in to free up bullpen spot. Cimber is not a high leverage reliever facing top teams best hitters the next two months or guy you want facing someone in a playoff game. Answer me this… not looking to argue but if we did that exact trade and we gave up Cimber, Jansen, and Pearson and we made the playoffs and our upgraded bullpen gave us an edge as a shut down bullpen group the next two months, and took us to the World Series would you do the trade right now!
  12. Cimber is so we free up a bullpen spot or you end up designating him!
  13. I think the Jays do not need to look further for a trading partner in Detroit. Make a pitch for 3 of their top relievers and send back Cimber, Jansen, and Nate Pearson. Yes bit of an overpay but you need 3 really dam good relievers for the next 2 months and playoff stretch. Nate Pearson at this point is a true wild card for future potential for Jays. At this point he provides no value to our team. We need a type of KC bullpen that we faced back in playoffs when we lost to KC.
  14. I mentioned in an earlier message that I was part of a forum/board called "thefanhome.com or fanhome.com" in the early 2000's that was later renamed I believe to mlbscout.com but that forum later went to s***. I was recommended to join the forum and visit just about every day and love the content and posts!!! Anyone remember those earlier Blue Jays boards from the 2000's, were some colorful characters on there as well lol....
  15. Yes, I was referring to a number of users from another website coming from the site thefanhome.com or fanhome.com cause it went to s***. Sorry, not so much the website move your mentioning.
  16. Yup, I don’t post much anymore but here every day reading everyone else’s posts. The Good ole FanHome.com miss those days as well!!!
  17. World Series bound I can feeeeel the vibe!!!
  18. Imagine if Vladdy carry's this team with monster numbers in the playoffs....
  19. I know I have been hard on Vladdy but man he is hitting the ball hard lately!!!
  20. Yanks might have peaked at the wrong time and now the Jays could just be starting to peak and hit their stride!
  21. Couldn't hold Bo down for very long!
  22. Did you hear the news??? The Yankee pitchers are blaming the glare off some stupid s*** just watch ha ha ha
  23. They are all getting f***ing hot at the right time!!! I'm praying we become the magic team in the playoffs.
  24. Aaron Boone pacing in the dugout love it!!!
  25. Ha Ha you made that happen for Shaw lol
