  1. Dickey as the long man would be kinda great. He can soak up garbage innings for days.
  2. You're right, I missed his minors IP. My bad. Stroman should get shut down at 200IP then heh.
  3. The justification afaik is because Stroman threw more in 2014 it's 'safer' for him to keep throwing. He should be should be pushed to the pen once he hits 160IP but nobody is talking about that though.
  4. Stroman has pitched less total. Sanchez has been in the system 2 years longer and didn't lose a season. Only thing I can point to is Stroman threw 130 in 2014. I don't agree with moving Sanchez to the pen though.
  5. I'd say Cecil has found it, he just needs to keep it now.
  6. I wish he would have blown the doors off this season and had a near career year before moving on and falling apart some place else.
  7. For sure. I think if they're going to pull him from the rotation they should just shut him down entirely. I know nothing though.
  8. How is this a question? Atkins already said Sanchez is done in the rotation. He's got one or two starts left and that's it.
  9. I was referring to his batting profile from when he was that age. Obviously I know he's garbage now.
  10. So he profiles like Thole offensively? At 21 Thole was in Hi-A with a 300/382/427 slash line and 45 walks to 38 K's in 111 games. Atkins was on Tim and Sid and said once Sanchez hits the pen he's staying there the rest of the season.
  11. Part of the fallout of all the deal today is Ben Rowen got DFA'd. He's not terrible.
  12. Could be either. Or somebody else.
  13. Get off the bandwagon quick then. Atkins says Sanchez will only starts one or two more games.
  14. If Liriano can get his s*** together this could be a huge trade for now and the future.
  15. They sure do. First MLB takes their cut of merch splitting and then they pay staff, middlemen and upkeep. The rest goes back to the Rogers Corp which is publicly traded so a cut then goes to shareholders, then go pay taxes and then give a % to the Jays.
  16. Thanks boss, the whole world makes more sense now.
  17. Well, the Dome takes IN that money. Jays don't keep it all.
  18. Second prospect is Reese McGuire. http://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.cgi?id=mcguir001ree
  19. $17M is crazy money....but how much is the " company " making? i have no idea but 100% it's a crazy number....Canada has 1 MLB team. They aren't losing esp with the seats we have filled this year and viewers That's pretty irrelevant if they don't increase team spending.
  20. I think the guys in the front office knows more about where next year's budget is than you and I do.
  21. I was a pretty damn big fan boy when he first came up. Thought if he put everything together he could be a #2.
  22. Well I would hope the guys in the front office know more about the financial flexibility of the club then I do lmao. And who's not happy? I said $17M is not nothing.
  23. Money is most certainly an issue. Jays have a limited budget. They have/had some financial space and now they used some/all of it.
