    He has been a fine manager. Sure, sometimes he seems to make a bad bullpen move, Ph move etc.. but overall he has been fine in the logistics side of the game. One could make a case for his personality having a negative effect on the team. He seems to be on vacation rather than at work and it would be nice if he carried himself in a more professional, serious manner. But it doesn't really matter. AA f***ed this team bad with the Marlins and Mets trades and we are now paying for it. Not much we can do expect pray a bunch of aging, injury prone veterans making way too much money somehow provide value at least in the vicinity of their contract. But at least he seems to have found a brain this last year. If he continues to make moves like the Donaldson and Martin ones, this team should be in a good position soon.

    Alfords stat line so far: 17%BB 27%SO . 452 BABIP and a . 127 ISO. Not too sure what to think of this, but for his first full year in the minor leagues and doing it in A ball I will take it.

    Probably should stay the course, but man if we pick up a some really good prospects by dealing ee and bautista, 2017 would be exciting.

    But your talking like the pitching has underachieved. We are projected to have the 3rd worst WAR for SP. There will be improvement, just not that much.

    Even if this happens, we still only have an average to slightly below average rotation. And if Boston goes out and gets a pitcher we won't have a chance at the division.

    Its just hard to have any optimism for the pitching staff, with Dickey and Buehrle aging, Sanzhez over his head and Norris needing more time in AAA.

    That's what I want. Build for 2017. Hoff, Stro, Osuna, Norris, Travis, Pompey, Donaldson and those elite prospects.

    Looking at fangraphs SP projection. We currently have a 6.8 WAR projection for the year, tied for 3rd worst in the majors. We are not making playoffs how this team is currently constructed. What do we do? 1- Ride it out and hope for the best (most likely option). 2- Trade future for current SP help 3- Trade Bautista and EE and whoever for upper level prospects with 2017 in mind.

    Sanchez was not good today.... He was not even good after the first inning. Passable fine, but certainty not a quality start.

    Edwin looks bad. Almost so bad that I don't think its just a small sample size/ April thing.
