Baseball requires such a high level of talent, not being at 100% is a huge crutch and can have serious repercussions to individual performance that carry over to the team. You see it all the time. You need to put the healthy player in.

We can, but as you said it's not likely. Comes down to pitching (they have better pitching all-around) and the fact that the they have an edge in the standings.

Jays medical staff doing it again. Martin playing injured, not healing, aggravating injury and bat has dropped off completely (don't care what he says about it not affecting his bat... he's either lying or wrong).

Pretty much everything went right for them in 2013, nearly all of their players were performing at or around career highs. -
A lot of it has to do with his velocity IMO... he had more velo when he was with the Mets. The added velocity gives him better control and more K's... he's had 1-2 more mph in his last 7 or so starts, and in those starts he's not walking anyone and not giving up many HRs. http://www.fangraphs.com/pitchfxo.aspx?playerid=1245&position=P&pitch=KN
