  1. It's usually bad teams that win the offseason , last year the whitesox , padres , 2013 the Jays. That being said this team could contend for the world series , they are just a couple of pieces away, that so far they have not addressed.
  2. Doesn't look like the Jays will make any significant moves , they seem pretty content with there roster as of now. So far OUT - > Price , Buehrle , Lowe* , Hawkins , Navarro , Hendricks , Pennington , IN - > Happ , Chavez
  3. He had one bad season , I'm expecting him to be a lot better then he was last season.
  4. I'd take Shark , simply because he's a proven #2 , 5/90 could turn out as a steal if he rebounds. A 1-2 punch of Stro/Shark followed by Estrada as a reliable #3 and we have ourselves a rotation that can compete for a championship with the offense we have.
  5. it's okay we've already bolstered are SP with J.A Happ
  6. Atkins: "We'll look for additional pieces and fortify depth that way, but our rotation is good enough to contend." #Bluejays #Jays So the jays are likely going in to the year with a rotation Stro , Estrada , Dickey , Happ , Hutchison/Sanchez/Chavez. That is mediocre at best
  7. "Sources say Anthopoulos began laying the groundwork to do so in August, before Mark Shapiro was named the team’s new president and CEO. Price, sources say, had genuine interest in returning to Toronto." "Ultimately, Anthopoulos rejected a five-year offer to remain the team’s general manager once it became clear he would no longer have the decision-making authority he enjoyed under former club president Paul Beeston." "Could the Blue Jays have afforded Price? Yes, in theory, they could have. But the Jays chose quantity over quality — and there’s an argument to be made that they were wise in doing so. Toronto ended the season with little rotation depth in the upper minor leagues, and Shapiro wanted to spread the health and performance risk among multiple starters." "It could take several years to determine whether Shapiro made the correct calculation, but we know already that Anthopoulos would have taken a different approach with the former Cy Young Award winner."
  8. Sign Shark pls 4/70 pls Shapiro
  9. Trade Dickey + Hutch + Thole for relief help + prospects Put Chavez in long relief / spot starter role Sign Mike Leake/Hishashi Iwakuma 4 years 70M Re-Sign Mark Lowe 2 years 11M Sign Ryan Madson 2 years 10M SP : 1) Stroman 2) Leake/Iwakuma 3) Estrada 4) Happ 5) Sanchez RP : Chavez Loup Schultz Cecil Lowe Madson (Dickey Trade) Osuna
  10. The Tigers have announced the acquisition of outfielder Cameron Maybin from the Braves. In return, Atlanta has added lefties Ian Krol and Gabe Speier.
  11. How much would Lowe cost to resign ? he's a great 7th/8th inning guy , especially if were planing on putting Osuna or Sanchez in the starting rotation
