  1. You need to elaborate: what is so dumb about that? It is better to chill out than to get upset about the result of sports entertainment.
  2. There will always be a next year as long as there is baseball; and who will care next year if Kansas City even wins the World Series in 2015?
  3. You are a young fellow King. Maybe you should consider some different hobbies during the off-season. Don't take things so seriously.
  4. Maybe I should get a 6 month ban and be back for the 2016 regular season. The season is almost over, unfortunately, I had hoped for a better outcome today; but that is baseball, within 2 weeks it will be over for all the teams. But before the season ends, I just want to say that the WAR and FIP statistics are utterly ridiculous, developed by people with way too much time on their hands. (even Bill James thinks so)
  5. That seems like a rather feeble insult . Can't you do better than that?
  6. At least this blowout win by Kansas City should motivate the Blue Jays to redeem themselves tomorrow. In any case, this planet earth is relatively less than a speck of dust in the galaxy, which is relatively less than a speck of dust in the universe. So even if the Kansas City Royals win, it just doesn't matter in the overall scheme of things. I wonder if this post is ban worthy? Does it matter, since the season is almost over. Northof49, are you going to tell me that this post has nothing to do with learning about Sabermetrics? Do I care?
  7. It is rather amazing that the Blue Jays got this far without Brett Cecil.
  8. Things look rather hopeless right now, but at least the Blue Jays have another chance to beat the Royals tomorrow.
  9. It would be nice to see a win tomorrow even if the series ends at game 6, then the Blue Jays will have another chance to tie the series.
  10. Blue Jays can still win tomorrow. If they win it then they have another chance to tie the series in game 6. Then game 7 is a toss up. (there is a very slim chance, but at least we get to see one more game tomorrow).
  11. I guess Gibbons threw in the towel at 5 - 2.
  12. Martin can't be one one of the best catchers at blocking pitches. He seems to let so many get by.
  13. That was close. I think they should load the bases again, or at least pitch very tough to Zobrist.
  14. If the Blue Jays can limit them to 1 run, they will be doing well.
  15. Can the Blue Jays get out of the top of the 7th with no more runs scored.
  16. Blue Jays need to get something going with 2 outs.
  17. The Blue Jays were the best offensive team in the MLB in 2015, they can get hits against anyone. Also, the Kansas City bullpen can give up walks and the Royals fielders can make mistakes. Anything can happen.
  18. Bad start but at least it is very early in the game.
  19. I heard Dickey on 590 the Fan and he was explaining that to do well he has to get his knuckleball in the strike zone and induce weak contact.
  20. Dickey will pitch a gem today and frustrate the Royals. Dickey has been doing it to teams since the All Star break.
  21. Today's lineup. No surprises, Colabello is playing at 1st base (which is good). I am looking forward to getting home in time for the first pitch at 4:07 pm. This will be just as nerve-wracking as yesterday's game.
  22. On to game 4 today at 4:07 pm. It would be good to see Dickey and the Blue Jays defense shut down the Royals. These Royals can really hit. On the offensive side of the ball, the Blue Jays need Bautista to get a couple of big hits tonight, Goins needs to have 4 or 5 good at-bats (getting on base 2 - 3 times would be nice), Pillar needs to keep rolling as I am sure that he will, Ben Revere hasn't done much this series, hopefully he is ok, Donaldson has to keep hitting like Donaldson. It would be good to see Martin have a big night and be able to catch Dickey without too many passed balls. If Dickey is pitching well then Martin will have a tough time catching him.
  23. Nope, just worried about these Kansas City hitters. By the way, you know I am not this former CHP poster?
  24. I can see what happened in game 2. These Kansas City Royals can really hit. No wonder they had the best record in the American League.
