  1. AJ Burnett reportedly signed with Toronto with his relationship to Arnsberg being a factor
  2. Jays also a betting fav
  3. For what it's worth Jays 59/41 favs according to fangraphs
  4. I remember you recommending them late season last year
  5. If they are smart they would throw Bauer at us 3 times. Thats the guy we really struggle against. Jays have handled Kluber very well in the past, comparatively speaking.
  6. Cleveland's bullpen is pretty good, but I dont think its Kansas City good in 2015. I like our chances against Cleveland more than I liked our chances against KC last year.
  7. Other than Kluber, who else do the Indians have. Tomlin and Bauer. Cant imagine they start Clevenger against the Jays after what we did to him last time. Didn't we also destroy Kluber this year?
  8. I wouldn't call it wasted. Probably Next Year Redsox start off as favourites to win the WS. They have ridiculously good positional players, if they add one more starter.
  9. Is that the first time that has happened? A conference final with the same cities than an League Championship final with the same cities. ?
  10. How bad does that Ortiz pinch run look like right now.
  11. Redsox peaked in September Jays are peaking in October
  12. If the Redsox win today, Cleveland is finished.
  13. I hate the sight of that GreaseBall pitching.
  14. Same thing with Cleveland. 3rd last in crowds People just don't understand the variables so they adopt a frame of reference they can understand For example Baltimore and Cleveland are winning teams but they don't draw crowds due to economic factors. Never mind the cost to watch a game their is a third of Toronto. Or its because Baltimore and Washington are close. Really that didn't stop Cardinals fans and Royals just won a f***ing championship. Winning isn't everything when it comes to marketing. When people go to the ballpark they should associate the players with good feelings in the past. Anyone with a basic education in marketing knows that the key to selling is emotional association. If EE walks into Boston and hits 40+ homeruns ( a very real possibility ) it won't be a good feeling especially if our rotation takes a step back and we are a .500 team. People will flock out and the ratings will go back to half of what they used to be. You know I don't even know why the same people who condemned AA and all of his moves are even watching the Jays right now. This is his team. People who criticized him heavily should just go watch the Mets oh wait.
  15. A lot depends on the team we face too. Hopefully Indians win today and both teams are equally rested I'd take our rotation over theres with them missing two of their top 3
  16. I still don't understand why people here are obsessed with saving Rogers money. Like it's a f***ing ripoff corporation and that bags every cent they can.
  17. I rather have Indians win today so both teams have a layoff
  18. But why are you focused on getting rid of them. 2 weeks ago you coukdbt wait for the Jays to lose the wildcard game. If the Jays win the WS it will be all worth it. From a marketing perspective winning isn't everything. People have to be emotionally tied to the baseball team. Look at Baltimore they had the same record yet half the crowds. If we are resigning Jose and Edwin we should forget about 2019 onwards. It's almost irrelevant. We are signing them so that we can win a WS in 2017 or 2018 or both. After that we can rebuild
  19. Before I said you go Estrada third. But they are all so rested I'd go Estrada Stroman Happ Sanchez Estrada Stroman Happ ( Sanchez and Estrada available)
  20. I seriously doubt they would let Hosmer go without anything
  21. That two week stint made Stroman the pitcher he is today. He was too cocky and need to be humbled
  22. The cardinals never had the money. Further we aren't talking about Pujols level money for EE or Jose
  23. If you keep the current core together and add bullpen help you likely can compete for a championship in the next 2 years as well
  24. Another big homerun for EE in the post season. How will it feel, if we either lose the WS or win the WS, and then watch EE sign with the Redsox. A lot of questions will need to be asked. Like, what is the point of spending hundreds of dollars on tickets if our superstars are leaving for markets where less people attend and watch the games. Do the right thing, and sign EE and Bau to 4 year 100 Million dollar deals.
