Cecil is a 30 year old who was worth less than half a win last year. In order to justify the contract he would have to be worth 2.5 wins over the 3 years. That means that he has to be twice as good as last year at age 31. A lot of people here are not being objective. That is not a good contact.

I think Cecil comes back. This is a bullpen that desperately needs pieces. I think he comes back on a multi year deal prob 2/10 with option. Beyond him though, I have no confidence in Grilli. We need to find failed starters and turn them into Elite Bullpen Arms.
