Aren`t the umpires expected to know the rules more than the players? Shouldn,t they have said..."No you cannot challenge that Gibby,its too late" Then we would have played on with a T-Bay runner at first. We could actually get hosed on this after what MLB network guys just said.

At first i thought WOW! Buerhle,Dickey,Johnson,Reyes,and Melky. Vegas agreed,but injuries will always seemingly kill us. Now i want guys that have at most, A.L. East experience,who can play,and have good character etc..fundamentally sound,those types of things. AA may be being bashed more for not doing much during the deadline,but he was being offered s***,and yet i,ve read where we should have got McCarthy. Guys without A.L. East experience can also play for us,if they promise to practice fundamentals-LOL.

Right now to me.,it looks like we win because the umpires blew the out call in the first place,then they blew it again by letting us challenge it after Buerhle stepped on the rubber.

Wilner will have the answer.... he knows everything. I bet he will say we may lose the protest,and the game will not count,but just educated guessing. We win! Umpires f***ed it up. They should have known to moot the challenge after Buerhle stepped on the rubber. Umpires blew the call!

They give us the win,but we have to replay the game on our mutual off days(TB,TOR),on Sep11th. (HOPE) We win because its a new rule ,first year of challenge,and cannot expect the players etc to know all the rules etc..
