It would have been 3 years in a row,a team from Canada won it all,if not for the strike in 94. MTL over NY in 4-IMO. Wonder what would have happened if american teams were leading all 4 divisions instead of a french speaking city from Canada.

Much better lineup tonight ! Mayberry deserves a start over Pillar. Someone has to tell Pillar to move closer to the plate.He thinks he is 6"6 or something.

I agree about MLB having a hate on for us. Who are you referring to lipping off,Reyes or Strohman? Reyes was pissed about his hand.Not sure why Strohman was pissed. The way it looked was that we were retaliating to what happened at homeplate. It was kind of obvious.

IMO,he was influenced by an idiot-Reyes,who had no business sliding headfirst into HP,in the first place. We were in prime position to be made an example of,after all those beanballs a few days ago to Stanton..etc.. Wrong move,wrong time. We do hate each other,and this will no doubt continue into next season,or maybe the next time they come visit us here this season..who knows. Them throwing at Melky in our last series in T.O. after we accidentally hit Machado with a curveball,was not forgotten by a lot of our players,and thats how it between these 2 teams. Melky being out now gave us an excuse for retaliating to anything,accidental or not. IMO,thats the mindset of some of our players right now with the frustration etc..

I agree about MLB,but in hindsight it was a dumb thing to do,at a dumb time,considering what had just happened in one night to several key players in both leagues. Joseph had no malicious intentions,and the stupid idiot Reyes goes sliding into homeplate,knowing better,and then wines about it to the rookie pitcher,who was probably influenced by that. To top it off,we go into Baltimore,undermanned,and piss them off in their own ballpark. We should have just let it go as a team. Hindsight.

Anyone remember Pat borders ? He was an excellent pitch framer,and therefore it made him into an excellent defensive catcher,and then to everyones surprise he gets hot offensively ,and wins the mvp in the playoffs. I dont like seeing a catcher just catch the ball like he doesn,t give a s***.It means he is too fat,but when you look at the molinas... it makes you wonder,angrily sometimes.

Tigers look like they will win. Its Sea or KC we have to catch.Detroit is getting back players,and KC has been losing players,but if somehow we win the next 2 in Baltimore,and other things happen,the mood will drastically change. edit:Jesus... sorry for sounding like Wilner-lol.

I,ll know it when i see it lol Some of the posters on this board say stuff he should do all the time. Something like the exact opposite of bringing in rasmus v Lefty tonite would have been acceptable.

Cle losing,Kc losing,Seattle @ Anaheim We could still be 4 back. If we had won more at home, we would be 2 or less back-lol. I keep expecting Gibby to do something creative.

Sometimes ,not all the time,but sometimes pitchers have a hard time throwing lefty v lefty,or righty v righty Plus its not the lineup,so much as the order.Whats wrong with having some speed at the top of the lineup.Reyes is clearly hampered by his hamstring. Give him some support.

Cant believe it.All these gifts tonite....Shields is losing,Sea may not win a game in Anaheim,and Gibbons tosses a lineup like this tonite.
