  1. Geez Lind is terrible at tracking flyballs. Can't believe he used to be an outfielder.
  2. Reyes with another garbage throw. This guy is so bad...
  3. So the Blue Jays got 821,000 viewers on Friday night for the game and apparently had close to 900,000 viewers last night for the game. Those numbers are massive.
  4. Causes buck to say hes swining at a breaking ball even tho it is a 91 mph fastball. Thats how bad the swing is.
  5. Valencia getting in the good books after being brutal defensively with the first pitch popup. What I like to call a Reyes Special
  6. He held that ball for so long. Buehrle getting killed by the defence once again.
  7. Ill repeat, Reyes needs to be moved if you get nothing in return and still have to pay 10 million. Hes dead weight at this point.
  8. *The Future looks bright*. If half those arms get injured and only 1 of them pans out it doesn't really change much for the future.
  9. Roger making his first public appearance. Coincidence he is going on with a TV station that just signed a massive deal to broadcast the Thursday Night games? http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/cbs-news-gets-first-roger-goodell-interview-on-ray-rice-suspension_b238443
  10. So if we don't pick up Thole does he even get a job anywhere else? I'm in favour of not picking up the option and then resigning him for half the amount if we are keeping Dickey. This type of thing maybe isn't the person friendly thing to do but we have given Thole a MLB salary so he should be thankful we even have him on the roster.
  11. The latest UZR update cost him like 3 or 4 runs. That Boston game was brutal because he cost his team at least 4 hits. I think you have to move that contract if you even get the slimmest of chances because next year he could be 40 million of dead money.
  12. I would not say Reyes is a legit 3 win player. He is at 2.4 right now and if you use DRS instead of UZR he isn't even worth 2 wins. The defence has dragged him down so much he likely doesn't reach 3 WAR ever again.
  13. For every young position player prospect that turns out to be nothing there is a pitching prospect who doesn't as well. And even if position players don't hit their ceilings they can still turn into useful players much like Ackley as you mentioned. Pitchers can easily get hurt or become ineffective while position players usually have a much higher floor.
  14. I even thought that this year thinking he just tries to argue for the sake of arguing sometimes. The worst part is comparing Melky Cabrera to Choo for contract expectations this offseason.
  15. Mike Wilner just suggested on Tim and Sid that he would rather have young arms than young position players and that arms have more trade value. Also suggested Kevin Pillar could be a good LF. Funny because Sid (who doesn't know much about baseball) was saying how you shouldn't be caught up in the hype surrounding all the SP because all it takes is one pitch for a disaster to happen.
  16. I can't see Rogers being so stupid to lower payroll..Even if the Blue Jays up payroll by 10-15 million and sign a Free agent people will buy tickets again and there will be "hype". Selling tickets is all about what you do in the offseason and the last 2 offseasons have shown that. And for all this "hockey" resulted in the Jays payroll being lower. The Blue Jays brand is a separate entity than the Hockey rights.
  17. Theres no way he comes back to play for the Yankees. Hes so much of a distraction they are better off buying him out.
  18. Depends if he wants to play on turf. I would still give him 10-12 million$ even with the injury concerns.
  19. The thing is Ray Rice isn't a "kid". He's 27 years old and has been a man for a long time.
  20. He still needs to improve a lot. His defence could use some work but hes so young he has a lot of upside. I don't think he ever becomes a star but he can be a very good player on a contending team and make an All Star appearance or 2.
  21. Hows his framing?
  22. Can you confirm he's a great guy from playing hoops with him in a pickup game? I hate to go down this road but I bet a lot of people said Ray Rice was a "great guy"
