Seems the defence is always worse when Stroman is starting. -
So Lind has back trouble again. Maybe if he actually worked on his core this wouldn't be an issue. Dude has a massive gut, no wonder he has back trouble.

He is still underrated. I bet if you ask the casual fan they all rank Sanchez ahead of him. He gives up a lot of flyballs but has great deception on that fastball which leads to a ton of swing and misses.

The guys on PTS were speculating that he would quit of he got offered the job with MLSE. As a Raptors fan I cringe at that thought. It would be a terrible decision by MLSE, as the guy is stuck in the past and MLSE seems to be going into a real digital trend.

If nothing else it might set off the "We have a lot of areas to improve" siren. Which hopefully means they add an actual 2B and LF because you can't blame it on the bullpen.

Thats what I was thinking as well. But if the savings are less than 500k there is no point as you would piss off the player and agent. The Org. would just look greasy

You wouldn't take Stephen Drew at 5-7 million at SS? My first target would be Headley for 10-12 million but Drew would be there with Cabrera for me.

For sure its tougher but this is done with the thought of making the team better. What is Reyes going to do if they put his name at 2nd base on the lineup card every day?

I don't get the "you can't move a veteren off SS" arguement. If you tell Reyes he is going to play 2B and he says I don't want to, you say fine stay at home and we not pay you your salary.

Anyone want to take a shot at Stephen Drew on a 1 year deal? Good defensive SS/2b and has suffered terrible luck with his BABIP. This would be the type of move to make with limited funds.

He gave up one ball that should of been a base hit all inning. Lind should of caught that and there was a groundball right where the SS should have been.

Is it possible to draft and trades kinda like the NBA? Because im sure when the draft gets underway people will want to trade up and such but no one really knows how valuable pick 38 is right now.

Or you could say he doesn't have much of a choice either (Thole). Does he get a MLB job if we decline his option? By declining the option we can force him to come back on a much cheaper contract.
