Yeah but it is a pen. Just like the Jays last year it could go from a strength to a weakness pretty quickly.

Thinking about going to the season opener in NY

I went to NY last year for a couple of Jays games. When I went we stayed in the Bronx because all of the hotels in Manhatten were sold out. I'd suggest seeing if you can find a Groupon for a Manhatten hotel if you can as it seems like you could get a decent deal in advance. As for tickets best bet is seatgeek.com. You usually can find tickets below face value but might not be the case with the Season Opener. Yankees prices are really expensive compared to other places around MLB. -
Didn't see a NCAAF thread but that Cotton Bowl was amazing. Really excited to watch the Rose Bowl with the best 2 QBS for the draft matching up as well.

Well Vasquez is on the team because there really isn't anyone else to play backup PG. I think the reason JJ was out of the game in favour of Gv/Lou is because they wanted Lowry to play off ball more. From the post game it sounds like he is pretty fatigued and with Ross/JJ on the floor Lowry is going to get tired even quicker while having to have the ball in his hands almost all of the time. I think PP was in there for JV because he spaces the floor much better and allows guys like Lowry to penetrate. Which did work as Lowry got to the rim a lot of time but just failed to get the basket/foul. I really don't see JV making a difference in this game of he was in there instead of Ppat. I feel bad because he seems to always get the short end of the stick with refs but his body language is awful. When you throw your hands up and wave them off at refs calling it garbage it will not help you at all.

exactly..and I think GV is terrible as a defender.

Lou also had a terrible night. 1-10 from the field and his defense was shaky. GV was actually a better defender than him tonight.

There were a lot of reasons why Raps lost but Casey wasn't one of them. If Lowry makes a few shots he usually makes the game is over. Refs were awful etc etc...

Im usually the last person to criticize officiating but those Refs were just plain bad at their job. Portant had some bad calls against them to lets not forget. Seems like what was a foul wasn't called and then plays that shouldn't of been fouls were called. Not to mention they took 25 min in reviews and then the 4th Q and OT was just awful.
