  1. bad contract, were still not good enough to contend...
  2. Well he was chosen as an all star so thats some recognition and really other GMs will take notice of EEs wicked K/BB ratio stats like that are hard to be fluked because its a measure of discipline which remains relatively stable (Hes only reached 100ks once in in his career in 2007). I think EE is legit and the only decline I expect is the one that naturally comes with age. That being said I trade him now and JB for the moon because we DO NOT have a team that can legitimately compete in the AL east never-mind the world series.
  3. this forum is a joke its infested with rude, arrogant, immature people who dont know how to properly speak to another individual and the mods here seem to be fine with it. I will move on to another one this is my last comment. Enjoy your pathetic lives boys ! Cheers !
  4. I literally have no idea wtf you are talking about...I thought this forum was only for baseball talk, you obviously have some problems bro but dont tell em to me I dont get paid for it like your psychiatrist.
  5. Do you have mental problems ? People like you shouldnt be allowed to procreate ugh sickening.
  6. A bit of both yes I agree with this.
  7. Which stat did I make up ? I didnt say a stat about another team. My point was that other teams have more quality homegrown talent than the jays.
  8. I think the people who are currently working in player coordination and scouting for the jays have the same mindset as you, not a compliment btw.
  9. well you guys must be right because he has been so successful in translating his amazing 163 wRC+ from a whaat 63 game sample in the minors ? Also it WASNT easily corrected not when he keeps making the same mistakes over and over again....
  10. Ivan Nova and Cano before he got traded.
  11. Doesnt change the fact that he didnt know fundamental baseball, how many times did he try to steal 3rd with 2 outs ? Mentally he was not ready.
  12. we all know the PCL inflates numbers, the same can be said for travis snider. I would have liked to see him play atleast a full season down there maybe he would've learned when to and not to steal 3rd smh.
  13. Dare I say I think Brett Lawrie could have benefited from being left in the minors a while longer when he was 21.
  14. Yes good point, or they will end up calling them up too early in the development process, just like how they messed up Travis Snider.
  15. We havent traded our top prospects as much in the past, we kept them and they were all busts its baffling how bad this team was in draft selection, we need to improve our scouting as well. This regime under AA is the one that focuses on trading away all our top prospects, and we wont know if Syndergaard, D'arnaud etc will be become stars yet because its too early to tell but as I said they have higher success rates IMO.
  16. The jays can spend all they want but they cant develop talent like the Yankees, Sox, or Cards so they will never be a dynasty until they fix whatever issues they have that are preventing the successful development of minor league prospects to high-impact star players in the Majors.
  17. If you read what I said in my other posts on here I also mention that we fail in keeping the talent which probably have higher success rates for transitioning in the Majors. This is subjective but I believe Sanchez and D'arnaud would have a hard time being busts whether the development they receive is good or not, its called a "blue-chip prospect".
  18. Sure I give them credit for that, but they arent homegrown lol your going away from the point. I give them credit in Developing major-league ready players but not for players who are in the minors then transitioning them to the majors...
  19. really how many of those 6 hitters and 9 pitchers are actually worth anything, the quality of the players we develop are a joke.
  20. Its because we are not growing the RIGHT talent, I believe Aaron Sanchez translates well into a ML player. Stroman Im not too keen on I would rather him be traded. The reason our development sucks is because of the players we choose to develop and herald as our future stars, while we trade away the real prospects with any chance of stardom like D'arnaud.
  21. lol alvarez wasnt with Jays for that no-no, Gomes when traded had his best year with another team, we seem to have good luck with relievers. Romero is a one year wonder, and Aaron Hill broke down only to be rejuvenated when traded. Your point ?
  22. Its ok they have homegrown nearly every other player. Even big spenders like the Yankees and Redsox have done a better job at homegrowing players than the Jays...
  23. Im talking about our ability to develop and bring up players from our minor league system that can be stars in the Majors. The last players like this were Vernon Wells, and obviously Roy Halladay (not without a few bumps). My point is that the Jays are so unsuccessful in this aspect, probably our top homegrown player right now is Adam Lind. If anything this is another reason why Aaron Sanchez should NOT be traded, and why that D'arnaud trade should sting.
  24. Bautista for sure, hes arrogant and egotistical but is that a bad thing ? It lets his teammates know hes serious about winning and I would rather have that than a lets just have fun environment.
