    I thought you were SMRT. If the point you are making is if the jays signed him for 5 yrs 100 million, then yes it has the potential to be an albatross if he gets seriously injuried. But the jays didn't sign him for said contract so your hypothetical situation is kinda ********

    Indeed. It's not really comparable to a guy like Reyes who relied on quickness and speed for D and O, and proceed to go into super decline as one would expect given his skill set. I expect tulo to have a monster year next season and easily put up 5+ war.

    It's blows my mind how some on this board don't see Estrada for what he is, a soft tossing righty with ok k ability who is more of 4.5 true talent era guy. He's not worth 16 mil. He shouldn't be qualified, jays should let him walk and let some other franchise sign him to an overpriced deal. This is the kind of signing I would expect from an Amaro Jr if he were still calling the shots in Phi. Good franchises don't pay for career years on meh pitchers they let the dumbass' of the league take care of that......

    14 for the division, which is all anyone really cares about. Wildcard would be a bit of a disappointment at this point.

    I really wish Gibby gave Pompey a start in the outfield when he was fresh from AAA and in form. Now if he gets in it will 3+ weeks since he's seen live pitching. I really don't understand the Carrera sub late in blowouts either, with the only reasoning being to keep him fresh as he will be on the postseason roster ahead of Pompey. Mind boggling that he and or AA think Carrera is better 4th OF option than Pompey. Pompey is a better fielder, base runner, and I personally think better hitter even with his early season struggles.
