Do you have any iota of proof that the Jays tampered? I'm not saying they did, but it's extremely hard to prove and he said, she said hearsay won't cut it.
And you are 100% wrong about giving up Hoffman for letting the tampering charges go away. Tampering charges will bring about a fine in the 500,000 - 1,000,000 or a loss in IFA spending. The Jays have 3,000,000 already invested in Hoffman. Do the math.
And frankly, if your scenario about having to give up a 1st for these phantom tampering charges is true, the Jays would (or should) forfeit the pick as it more then likely won't be as valuable as Hoffman.
