You can't wait too long in the draft, otherwise all the valuable face punchers will be taken.

    Lol...
  3. The guy's been awesome since he's been with the team. I didn't even realize he's only 24.
  4. Kyle Lowry definitely deserves to make the ASG, but he probably won't.
  5. So there's been a lot of talk about Vince Carter and whether Raptors fans should forgive him and move on with Dallas coming into town tomorrow. I remember hating the guy prior to and after the trade, but at this point I don't really care all that much. It's time to move on, and it's probably best to honor him after he retires just because he was the organization's first, and probably only legitimate superstar. Plus, if the stories of Babcock are true, all of this drama could have been avoided. Vince shouldn't have to shoulder all of the blame when the front office was also at fault.
  6. I wouldn't say that. He could still dismantle the team with a couple of trades involving Lowry and DeRozan, and still realistically finish in the bottom ten. Since the trade rumors involving Lowry, his play has actually warranted the first round pick Ujiri was looking for in the first place as well.
  7. The Knicks must be kicking themselves now.

How long of a losing streak would the Leafs have to go on for Nonis to fire Carlyle? You'd have to think 10, 11 games.....right?
  9. It's pretty telling when both of their salaries could be double that of the current highest paid player in the league. And there are very few players being paid in the millions to start.

While the Leafs need to make some changes, i.e. somehow getting a top centre, they need to get rid of Carlyle, the guy's defensive system is just ridiculous. The players never seem to get to pucks because they're always collapsing to the middle of the ice. Teams can just cycle the puck around them for minutes on end.

Fraser in, Gardiner out. Need I say more?
  12. That's exactly what I wanted to hear.
  13. With Delgado eligible to be inducted into the Hall of Fame next year, do any of you think he's a Hall of Famer?
  14. Just looking at some of the salaries in Europe I assumed they would be higher than they are. I suppose if TFC offers him more he would be definitely be willing to sign. And it seemed like they were also close to signing Gilardino a couple of months ago. I haven't heard anything since.
  15. I find it hard to believe that he would give up playing in Serie A for Toronto. Not to mention he has a chance of playing in the Champions League next season if Roma stays where they are.
  16. It would be pretty funny if a few players in he hall of fame who weren't connected to steroids came out and said they did it.

So much for Holland taking Kadri's spot. The hell is wrong with this team.
  18. I don't know how many of you watch it, but there's this show Open Gym that airs on NBA TV that gives an inside look at the Raptors. This one in particular gives you an interesting look at players' reactions after the Rudy Gay trade. The players find out about the trade at around the 10 minute mark of the video.

Interesting, I can't say that I'm surprised though. North Americans are still often viewed as the harder working rough and tough guys. But I'm going to guess that perception has started to change in recent drafts.
  20. Definitely have to agree with that. I've mentioned that it's probably in the team's best interest to trade derozan to try to get a pick. He doesn't really add much to the team and he's likely at his peak in terms of value.
  21. The Raptors could conceivably still get a high draft pick and finish third or fourth in the conference. If Masai could find a team desperate enough for a playoff spot, he could package Derozan and another player or their own draft pick for a package involving that team's 1st rounder. There might be a team that thinks very highly of Derozan that he could pull off a trade with.
