  1. More likely it's because of Revere's struggles playing the Green Monster, with several balls he misplayed.
  2. Injury or Revere's struggles with the Green Monster, plus Smoak must hit Layne well.
  3. O's get out of it. 1-1 in the 6th. Note that the Yanks may be in trouble if it stays tied, as none of Wilson/Betances/Miller are available tonight.
  4. Note to Gibbons--please PH for Pennington next time through the order. Worthless..
  5. Boston isn't exactly doing well either. Dickey has basically baffled them tonight..
  6. Out goes Owens.. in comes a scrub (and Jays farmhand at one time) Jean Machi..
  7. You know, outside of the Yankees and Mariners start, Owens has thrown some good games.. but Henry's running out of gas, as he just walked Collabello and threw a WP..
  8. Nice tightrope by Dickey. Still tied at 1.. how about some runs?
  9. They'll be PH for when they face a righty and Dickey's out of the game.
  10. Perfect game gone on a walk.. now how about a hit, Baltimore?
  11. Tanaka's perfect through 4... but the Yanks aren't scoring off Gausman either.
  12. And Owens hits Revere. That looked painful... and that puts speed on the bases.
  13. Only because the Yanks SP staff struggles to go deep in games, and Girardi frequently goes to Wilson/Betances/Miller. They actually moved Warren to the bullpen for a while because of the lack of depth, which they now have to reverse due to the Eovaldi injury, limits on Severino, and Sabathia's unreliability.
  14. 6th in SP WAR. It's actually similar to Toronto's. And with Eovaldi out, it stands to take a major hit. And that pen isn't completely dominant.. it's thin outside of Wilson/Betances/Miller.
  15. And BTW, Yanks pen is 4th in WAR in the AL, as Wilson/Betances/Miller and sometimes Shreve offset the weakness in the rest of it, especially long and middle relief, which has seen a ton of pitchers used.
