  1. I understand.. what I meant was that except in the AL Central, there's no real runaway team so far. Could be worse.. you could be in the NL East or Central, where there are bad teams galore (Miami, Philly, Milwaukee, a below-expected Nationals team, and of course, the 4-10 San Francisco Giants.) And most of the NL has better teams..
  2. I know it's only 13 games, but boy is the AL mediocre! It's basically Detroit, KC.. then a bunch of teams, including Toronto, a game or 2 within each other. Notable mediocrity is in the AL East and AL West.. Houston leads the West right now because the Angels are garbage (they can't hit outside of Trout and the pitching has been mixed), Seattle is struggling with its pitching staff outside of King Felix, and the Rangers are the Rangers, being awful. And I don't see a real favorite in the AL East right now either..
  3. Small sample size. And the Sox defense isn't going to win gold gloves (3rd worst in the AL). Playing HanRam and a range-less Victorino in the OF doesn't help. Only Mookie Betts is above average defensively.. Boston shouldn't have put HanRam in the OF and should've traded or released Victorino. BTW, Napoli is losing a step too.. the defense of the Red Sox is going to kill them and make this ground-ball heavy rotation look bad.
  4. Has anyone seen the train wreck in Miami? Not only are they 3-9, even Stanton is complaining: http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/04/18/giancarlo-stanton-says-the-fire-is-not-there-with-marlins/ Blame it on a lack of offense, and terrible pitching, especially with Alvarez hurt and Latos struggling badly..
  5. Rays bullpen absolutely just melted down. Riefenheuser and Ball Four just combined to give up 6 runs and give the Yanks a commanding lead. Not to mention Tanaka is dominating them too..
  6. It means "fake" or "false".
  7. Red Sox won't run away with it if their pitching remains crap and they continue to have leadoff issues (Betts is hitting close to the Mendoza line and is looking like he might end up in AAA soon if he doesn't improve.)
  8. And Robbie Ross Jr. still sucks. Just gave up a 2-run HR to Chris Davis.
  9. Kris Bryant today is 1-2, 1 RBI, 3 walks..
  10. I'll be at the game tomorrow.. hopefully we can get a series win.
  11. Sugar Ray Marimon.. interesting name, crappy pitcher! Walk-off for Josh Donaldson!
  12. Sugar Ray Marimon.. interesting name.
  13. Kris Bryant with his first MLB hit off Tyson Ross (and 1st RBI)
  14. Pablo Sandoval did a hard slide on Johnathon Schoop, causing Schoop to tear his PCL and sprain his MCL. It incensed the O's, causing Jimenez to throw at Sandoval (leading to Ubaldo's ejection.) We'll see what MLB decides to do regarding discipline on both Sandoval and Jimenez.. although both should be suspended.
  15. Alex Wood is killing us with his ground balls (7 now, and 4 double plays!)
  16. **** Sandoval... surprising MLB hasn't suspended Sandoval for this dirty play causing injury.
  17. Can't be done until we have overnight lows of 10 C for testing purposes.
  18. Damn. Bogaerts just walked off on the O's. At least the Rays lost too.. everyone who actually is relevant in the East and chasing Boston (O's, Rays, Jays) lost tonight..
  19. Yeah.. they should really consider putting him on the DL. Something isn't right.
  20. Being 5 for 8 vs. Cecil doesn't help.. Fredi Gonzalez knew what he was doing there.
  21. Is Cecil hurt? 2 HRs tonight.. and the main reason we lost this game. And whoever at ESPN/CBS Sports/Fox Sports/etc. predicted Atlanta would be starved for offense should shut up.. they continue to impress.
