  1. And Farrell drops another game.. bringing in a less-than effective Uehara for Matt Barnes, who was pitching reasonably well in relief, and Uehara proceeds to lose the game with a Jones 3B, Davis sac-fly and a walk off HR by David Lough, who had come in as a defensive sub for Travis Snider.
  2. Boston just moved ahead of us in the blown saves department (thanks to ****** Adam Jones.. and some bad D by Mookie Betts.)
  3. 3rd. We had 2 going into the game. Those results included today's game..
  4. Actually, officially, we only have 3 blown saves. Washington has 5 blown saves already.. and you wonder why that team is struggling. FYI, according to ESPN: Washington 5 Seattle 4 Chicago 4 Cincy 4 Boston and Toronto tied at 3 If you think our bullpen sucks, try being a Nats fan right now.. they'd be complaining more! Same goes in Boston, whose overworked pen, bad starters, and inconsistent offense are costing them games (and the reason they're only 10-7 (soon to be 10-8, as they are losing to the O's with Zach Britton coming for the 9th.)
  5. How the heck do the Rays keep finding ways to win? Jays and Red Sox(who lost 2/3 recently) fans wonder..
  6. Yes it is. Apparently, he's close friends with Raymond, dating back to the previous performer from the mid-to-late 2000s (who I know personally.. BTW, that person designed Orbit of the Astros.)
  7. Norris back out there for the 7th. And I imagine Ace is there because he's close friends with Raymond.. I know Raymond's previous performer, and the character visited Toronto a few times between 2005-2008.
  8. Did I just see Ace in the crowd there? Must be Raymond's birthday or something...
  9. This has nothing to do with the Jays.. it's about the issue of police brutality in Baltimore and other parts of the US. This is actually a serious issue down there.
  10. Punishment for bad OF play and Goins actually being able to play SS:
  11. Saunders can't come back soon enough.. Tolleson sucks in the OF.
  12. Basically, it's just the Angels paying Hamilton to play somewhere else..
  13. Considering Noah's struggles, he or Montero will likely be up first.
  14. Perhaps the O's should be more worried about their pitching staff. Norris and Tillman have stunk.. and the bullpen seems to have taken a step back.
  15. While they brawl in the Chicago/KC game, Farrell just threw another game away, as the Rays' Rene Rivera hits a walkoff single off Anthony Varvaro to give the Rays a 2-1 win. Boston's offense is REALLY struggling right now.. Ortiz is hitting under .200, as is Betts and Napoli. Even Bogaerts is slowing down after his hot start (his BABIP shows that a regression back to the .250-.270 level is coming, which Boston cannot afford right now, as everybody not named Sandoval or Pedroia are really struggling.
  16. Valencia in LF.. see Goins. They're trying to increase Valencia's versatility as well by putting him in LF and RF as well.
  17. He had back surgery and is out for the 2015 season. That's why the Jays released him.
  18. If this is the end, Nathan finishes his career with a 62-34 record, 377 saves, 967 Ks, a career 2.89 ERA. It also means Soria is set as the Tigers closer for the rest of the season.. but you can imagine the Tigers will be looking for relief help at the deadline.
  19. And a near 1/3rd K rate too. And he did walk tonight.. so his BB rate is up to 2.8%. And he's K'ing 36% of time.. Juan Francisco bad, without the power.
  20. And meanwhile, Gose is basically a platoon bat, playing mostly against RHP.. despite hitting .371, they're pretty empty ABs, with no plate discipline, as he strikes out almost 1/3rd of the time. Meanwhile, Travis is a ROY candidate, and has finally fixed our 2B problem.
  21. And Farrell's idiocy costs the Red Sox the lead and the game, as the Rays win 7-5. A Jake Elmore HR sealed it for Tampa. Frigging Jake Elmore! Boston really needs pitching in the worst way.. they won't get away with this against better offensive teams.
