  1. I believe he is pissed at the Braves for blocking him. Like everyone else is saying, he needs to find a way to stay healthy. Im pretty sure the Braves are open to let others play.
  2. Belt meets the Press in Toronto
  3. OH Yeah!!! Fangraphs had a write up a couple weeks ago, https://blogs.fangraphs.com/board-update-2023-international-amateur-prospects/ Giving Bonilla a 40+ grade ....They say in the article" Players with a 40+ FV grade or above tend to be prospects who I think would go in the first two rounds of a draft, while the teenage 40 FV prospects are the sort I’d ballpark in the $700,000 to $1 million bonus range as draft prospects, basically the slot amounts just after the second round." It also has the Jays in on 21 ranked Junior Arias RF 16.2 years of age Expected to sign with TOR 40 Grade Dominican Republic So thats 2 high end players and they usually sign around 20 guys, but with Bonilla getting around 4 million it may impact the end result. We definately benefit from no International draft. One more note, Vladdys younger brother is rated 10th Brailer Guerrero and is listed expected to sign with f***in Tampa.
  4. They will be lucky if they see him at all this year.
  5. Lol ..Thats exactly what I thought. He is our back-up though.
  6. The Jays do have time to trade him. I think they will find someone willing to give up a lottery ticket
  7. I just heard on one Boston channel that recovery time for that procedure could be 4-6 months, they dont know his situation though so it may be less.....Now Boston needs a SS.
  8. Blue Jays To Sign Brandon Belt By Anthony Franco | January 9, 2023 at 7:58pm CDT 7:58pm: Belt is guaranteed $9.3MM, reports Kaitlyn McGrath of the Athletic (on Twitter). 7:51pm: The Blue Jays are signing Brandon Belt to a one-year contract, reports Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle (Twitter link). The veteran heads to Toronto after spending his entire career as a member of the Giants. A fifth-round pick by San Francisco in 2009, Belt reached the majors two seasons later. He played in 63 games as a rookie and took hold of the primary first base job by his second season. Belt was a key contributor on San Francisco’s 2012 World Series team, hitting .275/.360/.421 over 145 games. Injuries limited him to 61 regular season contests during the 2014 season but he was healthy enough to contribute to San Francisco’s third title in five years that postseason.
  9. I bought 4 Grey seats (similar to 500 section) from Maple Leaf Gardens Not when they moved to Air Canada Center but when They tore out 600 to make room for luxury suites back in 1989. You had to pay $50 for each. They sat around for a few years then I finally reinforced the wall in the basement and bolted them to the wall side by side. I placed a small ledge in front of the seats to act as a place to put your drink and we would watch the games from them. If someone had to grab another drink, we all had to stand to let them out. It was pretty cool. I sold them a few years later for $1000 each to a guy from Boston. I needed cash because I was buying a cottage.
  10. Ask Pete for his DUI Rep.
  11. https://www.mlb.com/news/breakout-prospects-for-each-mlb-team-2023?t=mlb-pipeline-coverage These 30 prospects will break out in 2023 Blue Jays: Brandon Barriera, LHP (No. 3) Toronto developed the blueprint for taking a talented left-hander to the next level last year with Ricky Tiedemann, and could follow a similar path with Barriera, its first-round pick last July. The pieces are there for the 18-year-old lefty to make the jump -- starting with a fastball that can already touch 96 mph as well as an above-average slider and a promising changeup. If the Jays can unlock a little more velo with Barriera (who seemed motivated by only going 22nd overall in the Draft) as they did with Tiedemann in his first full season, they could have yet another Top 100 southpaw on their hands by midseason.
  12. LOL No need to apoligise. I am an crusty old ******* I'd be first to admit it.
