Are you asking just out of sheer curiosity, or do you think he's still on the board? Because the Marlins took a reach on him at 12.

I would call his bluff and take him, knowing that it's not the end of the world if he doesn't sign, getting a compensation pick in a deeper draft next year. Nothing in the draft is 100%. Nobody ever thought Alford would sign either.

I mean, I agree that it's kinda ridiculous to say that a draft prospect, especially a guy like Martin, is guaranteed to make the majors, but isn't it nearly as bad to practically guarantee that one guy will get drafted ahead of another, a year in advance?

I could have seen the Jays being in on Burrows if he was still around at 29, but I'm not surprised to see him go earlier. Lots of guys might be on the board that we didn't expect to be there.

Aiken, Allard and Newman are my only guys that have been picked so far, and I already knew that none of them would get to 29.

lmao, I wanted Newman, but I'm not upset he's gone. I'll have a heart attack if they pick Cameron or Matuella though, and I'd probably ejaculate if they took Kingery, just because I know there's virtually no chance that they take him.

Daz Cameron would be the biggest gift ever if he slid to the Jays and they actually picked him, but he also might slide past the Jays because of his apparently high pricetag, and the Jays very small draft budget. Michael Matuella was a contender to go 1st overall this year before he got hurt, and he has a chance of sliding to the Jays as well. There are a ton of interesting guys available, still hard to tell who'll be available.

I really didn't want to see Aiken go before 24, because it meant that the Dodgers might not pursue Matuella in that case. I can see the Dodgers going after someone like Matuella or Cameron now.
