I would much rather prefer seeing the O's loose big prospects and watching Upton, Weiters, Chen and Davis walk in the offseason. I hope they upgrade with rentals. Get Price too for all I care.
Why isn't this just in the deadline thread? You also realize that it takes 2 to tango right? It doesn't matter when the Jays are ready to do something, if they don't have anyone else to do it with nothing will materialize.
When I herd the reports that he failed his media due to arthritis I was thinking, "okay, good. The padres wouldn't be stupid enough to keep someone who failed his medical" but nope, still wanted him, got a few more millions from LA and yeah...
Easily. A prospect who may never make it for a pitcher that can help now and down the road with a few years or control. I can see Padres asking for more and honestly, probably even a better prospect from a team like the Astros or Dodgers.
Yep. Reyes, for all of his faults, could still run. I still remember he outran a pickoff earlier this year. Pitcher threw to 1st when Jose was running and still stole 2nd.
Why? I am hoping they blow the god damn farm for him, miss the playoffs or get crushed eventually if they make it and watch him walk away in the offseason. He'll walk with Weiters, Davis and Chen.
Edit: Forgot to mention, f*** the O's.
Cause they can't develop hitting. Their farm system is a lot like the Jays, but better. Will be interesting to see how Jackson, Marte and Peterson pan out.
