    I think its time to, unfortunately, accept that Smoak will not be seen as a every day player. That 1B/DH position is going to be cycled between him and Cola with a sprinkle of Martin or Navarro depending on the catcher for the game.

He has absolutely robbed some people with getting Scherzer, Peralta, Sanchez and Cabrera. You can say he's left the Tigers a little crippled with the terrible contracts but with that being said he's also left the Tigers a lot more respectable then when he got there. I can't blame him on the Verlander contract. I honestly think if it was any other team, they would have done the same. Well at least 70-80% of the teams out there. Rays, A's and Jays probably would've traded Verlander.

    1 of those HR was on a bench player with Texas. So it was as a freebie HR as you'll get. With that being said if he does somehow defy the odds and becomes the next Bau, I am glad it'll be Oakland and not someone else.
