    It is true. You do get more value with Heyward than you would with Shark. I am just trying to play devil's advocate really. If we got Hayward that would really allow this team to trade Revere, Pompey, Sanchez and other assets for a starter. Have Saunders or Carrera as 4th OF. Once Alfrod is ready he can then replace Bau in the future.

    While he may not be a fan does he have a choice? Currently next year's rotation is: Stroman, Dickey, Hutch. Price, Burly likely won't be back and Estrada shouldn't be brought back. You could fill out the last position with Osuna, sure, but you still have 1 spot remaining and Shapiro doesn't seem like he's dumb enough to put Sanchez there. I think if it comes down to it, by need he'll go after a pitcher. Not specifically Price, hopefully someone like Shark, Iwakuma, Chen, Zimmer, etc.

    9-5 for the Indians now but I am scared (Trouba95 s*** right here!). I hope Cleveland doesn't make the playoffs because they would give the Jays a hard time.

    Well they traded Arrieta for less so there is hope! Easily do that trade too. With MS coming on board I can see Sanchez getting dealt.

    Maybe I am reading this wrong, so correct me if I am. You are saying Revere > Pillar? What makes you say that.

    You trade Revere before you trade Pillar. Pillar may not age well as a lot of his value comes from his speed, on the bases and outfield for defensive coverage. You've got a few good years left in that tank before it starts to slow down. He should consistently provide more value than Revere heading forward. I am hoping AA/MS can woo Dequette and get him drunk/angry to trade Gausman for Revere.

    If only! This team should spend that $20M on a pitcher like Shark or trade for Shields. Unless they've found a extra $40M in the budget then yeah, plz splurg on Heyward.

    Should be an asterisk on the MLB one as if Billy Hamilton wasn't injured he'd be crushing it, 13.3 in 114 games. But yes, no. 1 & 2 nonetheless.
