  1. At this rate, the Blue Jays could soon be in 4th. The Wild Card is also unlikely as one of Seattle/Detroit/Royals are likely to get it and the A's or Angels have one of spots locked up. E: I hope to god its a gong show going down the stretch and beginning of next year. Will put more pressure on AA/Beaston to get canned. Though its more likely Gibby gets canned and he isn't a bad manager in my opinion.

  3. I'd suspect that +93 is more a testament to their pitching staff than their offense. They are in the bottom of the league for batting average, slugging, OPS, OBS. Outside of Cano and Seager there isn't anyone on the team has a WRC+ over 100. Their top 3 of Felix, Kuma and Young have been surprisingly solid. ...that and the they played the blue jays a few times this year already which is solid padding on that stat. E: Their bullpen has also been pretty lights out. That always helps.
  4. Romero also doesn't strike me as someone who had a strong mindset, though that is just a matter of opinion. There is no real way to quantify "mental toughness". Morrow strikes me the same. Stroman and Hoffman are two guys that look like they want to be a starting pitcher and prove people wrong.
  5. I am no scout or anything, but I am going to the Vancouver Canadians game tomorrow. Anyone interesting of note you guys may want to hear about? Sucks that Max won't be there.
  6. Here is a video of Norris striking out Will Myers. http://www.milb.com/multimedia/vpp.jsp?content_id=35275383&topic_id=&sid=t422&tcid=vpp_copy_35275383&v=3
  7. Jesus. If he carries that over to the MLB we may have something solid with Hutch/Stro/Norris. Sanchez may get in there too.. If one of Osuna, Hoffman or Pimp Foley pan down the road.. fap fap fap fap
  8. I must say, feels GREAT that the Jays won that. These games always feel a little more awesome. Loosing this would be *crushing*. I feel bad for the Tigers.... *looks at their starting rotation* ... never mind, I don't.
  9. Norris! Jokes aside, it has to be Stroman. The due is just beasting.
  10. Jose's offense and ability to steal base is wonderful to have. The 3 biggest issues you'll face with him is his inability to play defense, stay healthy and contract. He would be best at 2nd base where you can eliminate the bad defense somewhat as his throws *should* be more accurate and possibly the injuries as he won't be running as much in 2nd.
  11. Just double checked and that is correct. Colby isn't bad defensively, just Gose has been better. Fair enough. I don't disagree that Colby could be that of last year, I am just not sure if he'll ever get there again without being lucky again. His BABIP was .356, the highest in his career and the highest since his rookie season with the Cards back in 2009. He may have 1 or 2 more seasons of his play last year, but isn't worth keeping around for those seasons to appear. In either case I am sure his tenure with the Jays will be done at season's end. Baubau did show some patience at the first two pitches, but yea... he looked like he reached for that pitch. Not sure if Bautista is starting to get worn down with all the games he's been playing. Certainly hasn't looked like his normal self since the 1st game of the Astros series and that one abbreviated game where he went 3 for 4.. game 1 vs Tigers?
  12. My biggest gripe with Colby is his inability to stick with a batting stance. The one last year was working for him, and if I read the most recent article correct, that is the same stance that KS wants him to try again. He's ignoring what is working best for him and going in a completely awful stance at the plate. He also strikes out too much and a rally dies on his bat. He has a lot of potential but his inconsistencies, high K, inability to listen and past emotional issues just make him a headcase. I'd rather have Gose full time CF next year till Pompey / another replacement is found. Yes, Gose may not have as good power or hitting as Colby and strikes out just as much, his speed, defense is much better complements this team's other hitters. Plus he'll be a hell of a lot less cheaper. E: Also just realized that despite his wRC+ being less than Colby's, he has a better WAR while Colby's is near replacement level. Didn't know that. huh.
  13. If this team misses the playoffs when they were so close, does it point to end of AA/Beast or since they were so close after so long do they keep them or does Rogers just not give a crap as long as they've made money?
  14. Can't wait till KKKKolby is gone. I feel sorry for him at times but my god, he just seems like he's got such a whiny personality.
  15. I'd like to get Thole out. Time for him to be da Hero! *fingers crossed*
  16. I was hoping Jones/Buck would bitch at this ump. This f***ing ump sucks..
  17. I hear that redtube site is pretty good for killing time.
  18. f*** yea!! A the very least even if nothing comes of this, the O's don't have any more challenges for the night.
  19. Hopefully its just a swollen elbow.. it looked pretty f***ed up. Hopefully he's just out for tomorrow's game and maybe the 2nd game of the Tiger's series. Don't think its broken as he was able to move his elbow. *knock on wood*
