  1. Navarro pls give at least some effort to frame pitches, thanx.
  2. I don't think anyone should be mad about being shut out by Alex Cobb.
  3. That Montero for Pineda deal was a disaster, even if the latter got injured.
  4. Melky!!!! Down to one folks! Everyone being negative can f*** right off.
  5. Typical, Stroman allows two seeing eye hits and Reyes later drills a ball right to the CF. FFS.
  6. J_Havok I think you mean implement the DH in the NL, agreed with your other points.
  7. Has he even hit 97 or 98 when reaching back? I know from what I've read that he sits at 91-94 and occasionally hits 95, does he even reach high 90's multiple times a game?
  8. On another note, I f***ing love our lineup with Lind and EE in it.
  9. Reyes (3pts) - Melky (3pts) - vdub Bautista (1pt) - GD EdwinG (2pts) -jays4life19 Lind (4pts) - Navarro (4pts) - Gsnarls Rasmus (2pts) - Gen.Disarray, Dylan, Orgfiller, LetTheBallFly Valencia (7pts) - Kawasaki (9pts) - Bench (10pts) - o2cui2i I really like this lineup, although Valencia against RHP is still weird.
  10. I guess my biggest weakness is not putting people on the IL, no matter how bad they might be I just can't pull myself to do it.
  11. And this is not: http://scores.espn.go.com/mlb/boxscore?gameId=300625130
  12. Is this referring time between pitches or time of delivery? Either way I think there's a rule for each already implanted.
  13. I'm not a huge fan so I'm obviously biased, but do you enjoy waiting an entire week for your team to play their next game? I completely understand that it's a much more physical sport so they do likely need the days off, but imagine that in baseball, where fans get desperate on days off and that's only every 1-2 weeks and only for one day (except on the All-Star break of course).
  14. I agree with a lot of this post, but to put one example, in the start that Dickey struck out like 9 in 6 innings (I don't remember perfectly) but gave up like 4 homeruns on 5 flyballs you couldn't say Dickey was horrible, he likely left a few flat knuckleballs but other than that he got unlucky with HR/FB% and dominated for the most part.
  15. I'm not getting into this argument with you because in your mind you can never be wrong. And to answer your question: in his mind a pitcher will believe he got smacked around because the casuals will jump him about his ERA, but in reality those who know he got unlucky will be happy with the performance. See: Brandon Morrow circa 2010.
  16. IMO the best post on the matter was havok's, he mentioned that "shutting down" means missing bats and/or inducing weak contact, which is 100% accurate as far as I'm concerned
  17. The playoffs and the regular season schedule are fine as is. If you want a short season go watch football! Edit: I wouldn't be opposed to extending the one 5-game series to 7 but it's not a big deal, good teams usually cruise through that.
