  1. I enjoy posts like this from time to time: http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/bryce-harper-craig-kimbrel-and-a-rare-moment-of-weakness/ Harper's swing is a thing of beauty, and the one foul ball he hits and is shown is like 90 grade bat speed.
  2. Yup, shouldn't count those out for sure, but he was the most consistent in the aforementioned years, people forget how good he actually was for the Jays, they only remember untradeable contract Wells.
  3. Like I mentioned, the wrist injuries really hurt him, but he was rock solid from about 2003 to 2006.
  4. 2006 Vernon Wells arguably had a better season than Adam Jones' best season, which if you go by value would be this season. Wrist injuries really derailed his career, but his best 5 years rival Jones' best 5 years to date.
  5. The word "clutch" doesn't appear in that article once. Obviously you give more weight to framing with 2 strikes because it results in a strikeout, the best possible outcome for a pitcher. How is this hard to understand? For example, Navarro constantly botches 2 strike breaking pitches in the zone, which means the pitcher not only doesn't get the strike out, but he also has to throw more pitches and has an extra ball in the count.
  6. Great, NHL analytics get their own special on Sportsnet, but luckily we have Pat to tell us how CF is the easiest position in the outfield, Happ's wins and Navarro's RBI. Awesome.
  7. He's not owned? I was ready to trade Buxton+ for him.
  8. Billy Hamilton also up there. Not sure if the casuals will appreciate the value he brings to the table, and deGrom has a shiny ERA.
  9. Looks too close to overturn, ugh.
  10. That seems like BS.
  11. Pillar has the worst plate discipline.
  12. Kawasaki just killed someone in the dugout, FFS. Who is that?
  13. On a close play at the plate Joseph stepped on Reyes' foot on the transfer to make the tag, Reyes got pissed about it, but probably was just a reflex. Recently Stroman missed above Joseph while he was at the plate, ump issued warnings. Stroman later struck out Joseph and as he was walking back to the dugout looked over at the O's dugout and tensions flared, but no one went off the bench.
  14. We never know in those situations, it's suspicious that Joseph was the batter, but Stroman missed the zone by a lot later in the same sequence. I think he got pissed off and that's why he looked over to the O's dugout.
  15. Haha, I love Stroman.
  16. Sit the f*** down.
  17. Dickbag fans about to represent. USA chants incoming.
  18. Lol at that warning.
  19. Lions and tigers are the s***.
  20. Obvious mismatch is obvious.
  21. Sure, Colby PH vs. a lefty, way to play the reverse psychology card, maybe Showalter will switch to the RHP next time.
  22. Pillar makes JPA Arencibia look like Bautista at the plate.
  23. Welcome to Media 101
  24. If we're going to pull Stroman can we get Norris or Graveman into the game?
