  1. Norris is putting his hat on, looks like he'll go out there for one more.
  2. What's the pitch count situation? Is he likely to be taken out now?
  3. You mean you didn't tune in to see that kid Kottaras?
  4. He's testing his bench in a season where they're out of it, I don't see the problem with this.
  5. I didn't know it was possible to be impressed by someone performing exactly as expected, if not better, Mark Buehrle is just that good. Edit: game is over in less than 2 hours, I f***ing love this guy.
  6. Damnit BTS, I was just about to make a thread like this.
  7. Another vintage Mark Buehrle year in the books. *tips cap*
  8. "Taijuan Walker walked a batter" I wouldn't have expected any less.
  9. He apparently ran a decent 60 yard according to an MLBTR article, promising.
  10. The power can play, but I would wait on what the scouts think about the rest of his tools, as I don't have a very informed opinion on them (despite him playing for my hometown team ). Maeda could be a keeper as well, not sure how his numbers fare relative to those of Darvish and Tanaka, but if their recent success is any indication Japan numbers might have some merit to them.
  11. GD I think it was gave a comp of Dayan Viciedo, and I don't think that's far off. He's a 1B/LF with a cannon of an arm but lacks overall defensive instincts. Offensively, big power to all fields, can't quite comment on his hit tool or plate discipline though, but they're average at best from what I recall, but I wouldn't take my word for it.
  12. He's hit better than anyone could have expected. I'm very happy to see him succeed.
  13. I wasn't listening, did they say that? Would be pretty cool.
  14. Also, because no one has mentioned it, Jose Abreu > Victor Martinez this year.
  15. It's not that a DH can't win, but he has to hit at near Barry Bonds levels to counter for the huge amount of value lost in the positional adjustment and the baserunning department which V-Mart doesn't provide either.
  16. Perhaps, but either way I don't see the deal happening, the Cubs wouldn't go through with it IMO.
  17. Here with go with the Jose Bautista "best defensive RF in the game" talks again.
  18. I was talking from the Jays' POV, as in what they think of that deal. I don't entirely agree with all of those points myself.
  19. I wouldn't put Sanchez as a sure thing for the rotation, he hasn't proven he can stick as a starter, and lacks secondary pitches.
