  1. The triple was ruled a double because the OF is weird, the ball practically left the field.
  2. Gindl battles after falling behind early, he hits a line drive into the RF corner, stretches out the triple with Beltran taking a while.
  3. Pompey lays down a nice looking bunt, Esmil without hesitation makes a good play to retire him.
  4. After falling behind 0-2, Smoak hits a little blooper on an inside pitch to shallow RF, the second base makes the catch.
  5. Another one gets hit hard to deep CF, Pompey makes the easy catch.
  6. Norris gets a very nice swinging slider for the second strike, after missing down and away for a few pitches he hangs one to Pirela, the latter puts a charge into it and Pompey makes a fantastic diving catch in RF-CF.
  7. Norris still struggling with the command on his breaking pitches, Chris Young singles off a fastball on a 3-1 count.
  8. Norris gets out ahead with a fastball, then gets the second strike on a breaking pitch, then K's him swinging with high heat.
  9. Viciedo works the full count (Esmil isn't exactly pinpointing his pitches), then K's on an offspeed low and away.
  10. I didn't notice it, but it could be a blister.
  11. Esmil battles a bit with Donaldson, on a 2-1 count he singles on a line drive through the 3B-SS hole, Martin for some reason waved around, he's out by a mile at home. Edit: Donaldson took second on the throw to the plate.
  12. Travis K's on a fastball high and in.
  13. Martin crushes a ball to deep LF, goes off the top of a very high wall, he jogs into second with a double.
  14. In defense to Navarro, we can't really access his game-calling abilities.
  15. In a fastball heavy AB, Norris gets ahead of Beltran early. Somehow doesn't get the called third strike on a beautiful outside fastball that was framed perfectly. After battling, Norris jams Beltran inside who breaks his bat on a weak groundball up the middle, inning over.
  16. First batter Ellsburry, Norris struggles a bit to locate the curveball, ends up getting him to check swing a groundball to third on the fastball, easy play for the first out.
  17. Buck acknowledges Norris' number 32, fails to mention that Roy Halladay wore it with the Jays...
