Wow, Evan Gattis is an above average framer, didn't expect that.
An interesting thing to wonder is how many of these guys on both ends of the spectrum are aware of the importance of framing pitches. We know guys like Lucroy, Martin, the Molinas etc. are all guys who take pride in their framing; but then you have good overall defensive catchers like Sal Perez or Christian Bethancourt who have probably never been told to attempt to receive the ball better because they excel in other areas of catching.
Heck, even Arencibia was once an awful framer before someone suggested to work on that aspect and now he's above-average.
