Norris, after tearing the minors a new ******* last year at the age of 21, but suddenly struggling a bit is now Ricky Romero. But Jeff Hoffman, older than Norris against inferior competition is doing the same thing, arguably worse as he's not even getting strikeouts, gets a free pass because OMG dat breaking ball .gif that I saw from a weird angle!!!

Lmao, Norris is a pile of s*** (he's younger than f***ing Hoffman) but Jeff Hoffman is practically Giolito. GTFO Also, suddenly it's bad for Norris to not get AAA hitters out but Hoffman gets a pass for not doing the same thing because reasons??

This is a very dumn post. I don't love BTS' wet blanketing of this thread, but his point is valid. Tulo could easily break down just as easily as Reyes.

And it's not like Tulo to third party team wouldn't be the biggest headline here, Rosenthal would've been all over it.

Do people realistically think that Buehrle has any trade value? He's an old pitcher who derives most of his value from being durable and pitching a ton of innings, that becomes nearly useless when you acquire him to pitch less than half of a season for your team. He's not particularly elite and not cheap either, when you have guys like Shark, Cueto (not anymore), Ross, Cashner, no one is looking at Buehrle as their potential go-to guy in the playoffs or to give you those additional wins that will get you there. He's more valuable to us as a reliable innings eater than whatever D-level prospect or cash considerations we would be able to get for him.
