  1. There's more than one, deGrom and Cole have both had TJS in the past, Pineda and Brett Anderson have had significant injuries, including TJS for the latter. There are probably more that I'm missing.
  2. We don't really know what the cost would be, and who could we realistically say that we can trade for that is better? It's nice to think that hypothetically every player is available for a fair package, but a lot of high value players simply aren't on the block.
  3. Yeah that's not happening, but if you were to get an elite player in Gomez as part of a package then you need to have Hoffman available.
  4. Way to completely miss the point. Fiers strikes out nearly a batter per inning at the big league level while Hoffman struggles to get 6 K/9 as an older player against much inferior competition. Odds are easily against Hoffman ever becoming as good as Fiers is right now, and a lot of that is just from the usual attrition rate for pitching prospects.
  5. Yeah who wants to see Bautista, Donaldson, and Encarnacion (overpriced "star" players acquired from other teams) when you could have the likes of Matt Dean/Mitch Nay, Rowdy Tellez and Anthony Alford filling their positions instead?
  6. Goins is good defensively, no question. He's not nearly as good as people make him out to be though, he deceives because of how smooth he makes some plays look, and how unsmooth guys like Reyes look at times. My point was that I could easily see Travis being as good if not better than Goins at defense, like the previous poster suggested.
  7. Scouting a player is so dumn in the MLB. You have countless data and hours upon hours of video. This just seems like they're giving the scout a nice gift by making him watch a good pitcher at work.
  8. This isn't an outrageous statement by any means. Devo has really quick feet and his hands/glovework is very smooth. Goins really isn't as good as people make him out to be.
  9. What does the exchange rate have anything to do with it?
  10. Yes, it's park and league adjusted, so even if the offensive environment was more prevalent in McGwire's era, he was still that much better than league average.
  11. It's arguable, Miggy has a slightly lower career wRC+. At their best McGwire is probably the better hitter, with a lot more power.
  12. Wat Willie Mays is a starter without a doubt. 3rd in career WAR...
  13. This is such an untrue statement.
  14. So he's basically the PG version of James Johnson without the elite footwork around the basket.
  15. I can't see any scenario where Aaron Sanchez isn't in the top 20.
  16. Holy f*** deGrom, that was just dominance.
  17. http://36.media.tumblr.com/6a34be8f6d76e0b364faab27f7b9c6d6/tumblr_nc088uvdga1tgkjz9o1_1280.jpg
  18. Corked bats actually make the ball travel less, but thanks for trying.
  19. It was obvious that the pitches were coming in right after the ball dropped, Christ.
  20. They are clearly waiting for the baseballs to drop first, people are so dumn.
  21. People are actually mad about a meaningless event that's just for fun and to showcase power. Holy f***, relax and have some fun people! This is a beautiful game!
  22. Joc Pederson is so good.
  23. That was intense af, love this new format.
