They gave out some decent pieces, but mostly just acquired all of the contracts that nobody wanted because they can afford to pay it. It's quite the brilliant use of your resources.
David Price's game is striking guys out and not walking guys. Just like every elite pitcher in baseball. Are you saying you'd rather just concede Sunday's game rather than start the pitcher who gives us the best chance to win?
This is baseball and anything can happen, but with this offense I wouldn't rule us out against any pitcher. Duffy being a lefty severely increases our odds for this game beyond 50/50 IMO.
Lmao
"Hey David, originally we were going to have you start on Sunday, but the Royals are pretty scary and we didn't acquire you to face good teams. You don't mind sitting out an extra day and f***ing up your routine right?."
It's rather unbelievable that the only major league piece (from the current 25-man) we traded to acquire Tulo and Price is Reyes. We added to the big league club by replacing one SS with a better one and not using Eddy, Bautista, Travis etc.
You really don't know this though. You'd like to think that Shark would have come cheaper or you could've made this deal for Ross, but sometimes GMs ask for a lot. The Rockies' asking price from the Mets for Tulo was reportedly quite ridiculous.
