    He's at a 74 wRC+ and that's with the "hot streak" or "swing change", he's barely above replacement. He's still projected to be a 60-63 wRC+ replacement level player. He's not Andrelton Simmons, he needs to be a better hitter if he's to be of value to the team.

    As great as that would be, chances are very slim. The AL Central is really bad and the Royals have a very good team.

    Rajai Davis comes in to pinch-run following a single from Avila. He steals second immediately and moves to third following an errand throw from the catcher. Exciting stuff.

    Hot streak doesn't really mean anything in the long run. He could return to being Ryan Goins at any point.

    He's not a completely awful hitter. There's no reason to only use him for bunting since when he does reach base he presents a very real stolen base threat.

    Osuna has that xFIP because he's an extreme flyball pitcher and that isn't evaluated properly by that metric. His SIERA is more indicative of his performance, at 2.74.

    Amazingly, he even seems to be mixing in his curveball more often as a reliever, even though I don't recall it being very effective just yet. Nice to see.

    Not exactly. I believe there's a legitimate case to be made that he is an effective reliever, but he was not good as a starter. Plus, it's only a few games away and our bullpen is good, I'm not too worried.

    Not at all, he definitely has a chance, doesn't even need to continue to perform at an elite level to get serious consideration.
