Lol @ Trout not giving your team the better chance over Greinke. Use common sense dude. There's also the fact that Trout is on a team friendly contract and all of 24 years old, while Greinke was becoming a FA at the end of the season. Trout adds much more to your team over the remainder of his contract than a year of Greinke. What a ridiculous suggestion.

Fwiw, metafour is someone who follows the Jays system and other minor leaguers very closely. Though some might disagree with some of his opinions, including the impact of scouting vs stats, his prospect knowledge is undeniable.

I think Lawrie would probably be too prone to turnovers as a starter. His defense might be good though.

You could say that about any pitcher. Happ is coming off a great season and projects for a sub-4 FIP, ~2 WAR. Chavez has two consecutive seasons with xFIP under 3.9, also projects for ~2 WAR. Estrada and his perceived ability to beat DIPS is probably the biggest wildcard in the group. Our offense is also elite, if they give up less than 5 runs most games there's still a big chance that we can win many ballgames.

I would be totally up for this. Morrow as a cheap reliever/occasional swingman has a chance to be a good upside signing.
