Oddorizi clearly is deceptive enough that he can get by at 90-92 mph with his fastball, he also has an excellent changeup which messes with a hitter's timing. Kind of similar to Estrada in that sense.
He has a career walk rate of 9.2% over nearly 2000 MLB PA, that's more indicative of future OBP. Of course he'll need to be healthy and actually hit to prove to be an adequate leadoff hitter, but the argument is over Pillar and his 4% walk rate. Martin would likely be better than both anyways.
I'm not acting like a high intellect character at all, but I find that you acting like you have Smyly figured out after one inning of work to be pretty rich, as if he's some predictable scrub, and the guys he's facing are little leaguers.
