If you can fool some idiot GM (Dave Stewart) to buy into the inflated average and slugging then it might make sense to move him, in the same way that Billy Beane would ship out starters having career years in the O.Co. I would hope that most front offices nowadays would be aware of the Coors effect though. If they feel they're getting a younger league average at least player for Blackmon then it would make perfect sense to move him. -
He's literally a league average hitter/player. That's by no means trash, but he's not nearly as good as you think he is. His highest single-season WAR is 2.1 last year, and he's almost 30.

Charlie Blackmon is your prototypical "looks amazing due to Coors" guy. Great avridges, decent enough OBP, inflated SLG, lots of steals (which makes him great in fantasy ball), yet is really a league average hitter with not good enough defense, making him literally an average MLB player.

They do, because it's a tempting pitch to swing at but generally it's too high to hit and the bat gets under the ball. EE was probably sitting fastball there and he got all of it.

He's currently sporting what would be his highest wRC+ ever at 136, playing in Coors really helps. He's good but he's not upper tier (hitting wise, overall he clearly is).

I think his bat is a bit overrated because of the homers. Still a stellar player though.

So then aren't you agreeing with me that he wasn't good? His results were just as poor as what we saw from him this afternoon, save for some good pitches made to Jose Abreu a couple of times.

Well yeah, he went out and pitched, that's his job. He didn't do a very good job though, nothing was really different between this start and most of his recent ones, except a perceived increase in his 2-seam's velocity.
