  1. Yeah, if he was bad before, I can't imagine him being any better in his current physique lol.
  2. Alright, you win this time...on a technicality.
  3. Lol @ Drew Hutchison being on waivers in the LOD. Come at me BTS.
  4. That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works.
  5. I am disappointed in you.
  6. Objectively false.
  7. You should have made that more clear. Also what was wrong with Drew Hutchison? You wanted him off the team ASAP?
  8. Uhhhhh Josh Donaldson? Troy Tulowitzki? Devon Travis? Russell Martin? Marcus Stroman? I'm probably missing more because I don't remember if Osuna and Sanchez were pre-Anthoupoulus. Isn't Hutchison JPR era? Goins probably is as well.
  9. Meh, for a rebuilding team who will need starters, signing a vet innings eater to hold up the rotation for the price of a <1 win player is fine. The Blue Jays are in a completely different position from the Braves. Note that I hate watching RA Dickey pitch so complimenting the Braves on the signing was hard.
  10. Can May be converted back? The Twins are so stupid.
  11. This is amazing news.
  12. I think you have a pretty bad misconception of McCutchen's value. Yes, he had one bad season, but that was preceded by a string of seasons where he was one of the best players in baseball. He is still on a very team-friendly deal ($14M for next season and a $14.5M team option for 2018) and he only just turned 30. I would trade all of Travis, Alford, Pompey and probably any two other prospects not named Vlad Guerrero Jr. (actually I probably would include him, McCutchen is really good) for him in a heartbeat. He currently projects for around 3.5 WAR and I don't think anyone would be surprised to see him pass the 5 win mark again.
  13. What? I think Powell's defense is pretty strong. He's got really quick lateral movement and he doesn't make stupid fouls, he maintains his defender in front of him and gives the opposition little room to work with. I would say he needs to work on his offensive game a little more, but I think it's more about refining more than completely turning it around. He's pretty explosive but his finishing around the basket is subpar, though improving. His shot is also inconsistent, but you can tell that he puts in the work. I think with his work ethic he might be able to reach a DD level of finishing in the future.
  14. Westbrook is so reckless on the court. The dude has a lot of talent but he takes a lot of terrible pull up jumpers and while his explosiveness is elite he can't just expect to drive over 3 defenders at the rim every other time.
  15. Love him or hate him, Demar Derozan has extremely impressive body control. That comes from all the work that he puts in his off-time. Raps looking really good after a bad start.
  16. I like how you say it as if the Raptors don't have any other pieces to work with. Like they didn't just win 56 games and are arguably just as good as last year if not better while the Sixers might not get to 20 wins...again. And yeah win totals are dumn but only one of those teams has a strong shot at making the Eastern Conference finals again. Winning is good.
  17. Yeah they sure look to be turning it around this season.
  18. But totally deserved. Ben Zobrist is great.
  19. Pfft, yeah, MGL makes a good point. The Cubs are champions!!!!
  20. A double plus with Montgomery coming in: makes it that much harder for Davis to steal second. Or so we think, Davis is a menace on the basepaths.
  21. Is there anyone in the Chicago bullpen warming up? This is getting intense again.
  22. I was definitely expecting an HBP there.
  23. That's awesome. It's probably similar to guys like O'Day who have rising fastballs.
  24. Yeah makes sense, the movement is nasty. An impressive pitch.
  25. I have no idea, but it's safe to say that Maddon has no confidence in either he or Pedro Strop.
