  1. Aaron Sanchez continues setting unrealistic body standards for men.
  2. I feel like NJH realized this and was just trying to get proof of people actually suggesting such a deal. I think you meant decline. I'm not exactly sure how looks would regress anyways - postponing the use of makeup I guess?
  3. Nice. The rich man's Ryan Goins has been quite valuable to us.
  4. Aren't Jay Bruce and Michael Saunders essentially the exact same type of player? At least Bruce is more of a sure thing in terms of playing in over 130 games. Though obviously you'd rather have Saunders at $8 million or less (I'm guessing that's reasonably what he'll get?) versus Bruce at $13 million - wtf were the Mets doing when they exercised his team option?
  5. It's a great rotation 2-3 years ago, but most of those guys carry huge red flags now.
  6. How is this not a joke?
  7. It's almost as if Valanciunas is substantially better than Nogueira or something.
  8. That's such a Rays move. Nice signing.
  9. Right, my bad. I just wanted to use some generic bust with okay upside in the system that isn't worth anything.
  10. Vlad's upside is nice, but he's super far away, and there are already big question marks about his future position. He's likely to never provide the kind of value that McCutchen will provide in the next two years. There's a chance you trade him and that he becomes a spittin image of Vlad Sr. yes, but the odds are strongly against him. There's plenty of big name IFA signings with prodigious power and seemingly excellent bat to ball skills that flamed out. If the Pirates offer you McCutchen for Vlad Jr. + Matt Smoral and some other C or D level prospect I think you take it and run.
  11. This just in: team trading star player on team-friendly contract demands opposing team's top prospects.
  12. Nogueira was so, so bad all night long. He was getting abused by Felicio on the glass. He literally just couldn't grab a rebound with two hands even when it fell in his lap.
  13. IMO, healthy Strasburg > Bumgarner > Marte, but since that isn't really the case I'd go Bumgarner > Strasburg > Marte. Although perhaps we should be weary of pitchers who have been workhorses from an early age, if guys like Felix, Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee and James Shields are any indication.
  14. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uAz9R58lpkPNj1jjE4eyf3xQyF8GVaIikwquSHGF5X8/edit#gid=1370595464 Generally if you search "spreadsheet" in any of the board leagues, the link will usually show up in the first page from someone who previously requested it.
  15. I've always thought this, it's just that Nogueira seemingly doesn't get any better even with the undeserved increased playing time. Poeltl comes in and you can notice how much better he is at getting himself into good positions all the time, whether it is on the glass or making himself open to save one of the guards who are driving and run out of room. It obviously has a lot to do with him being a noodle, but Nogueira just gets destroyed by opposing bigmen. He rarely ever gets a hard fought defensive rebound, if it doesn't land in his hands most likely he allows the offensive rebound or tries to tap it away to a teammate - he has an insane wingspan, he should really try catching the f***ing basketball! I'll give him that he's good at using his length sometimes to pick up blocks when he has space - on the contrary if he's close to a defender it's almost always a foul which he never agrees with - and he can be a helpful PnR partner for Lowry who just lobs the ball close the rim while drawing 3 defenders and it's as easy as an NBA alley-oop gets.
  16. Jakob Poeltl is so much better than Nogueira. He makes some dumb fouls at times but he's far more polished and has a much higher basketball IQ.
  17. I'm glad to hear you give a s*** about what your son says.
  18. The Dogg is having a field day this offseason. So many responses, many of them being serious.
  19. I don't see the Celtics as a threat to the Raps at all, whether Thomas is healthy or not. Obviously if one of our star players (mainly Lowry) gets injured it hurts our chances tremendously, but that's true for every team not named GSW or Cleveland with a non-Lebron injury.
  20. I mean PPat still plays 30+ mins every night regardless so it's not a huge deal. It's a curious strategy by Casey in starting Siakam over Patterson but he's quick to switch him out if s*** hits the fan early. I think he really enjoys having PP come in as a the 6th man rather than have him starting where his game is exposed more.
  21. I mean at least they didn't roll over, but it got to 53-58 and GSW just made 3 after 3.
  22. Well at least they didn't allow GS to score 50.
  23. Jesus Christ. Those are superstar shots, the kind where you just put your hands on your head and acknowledge that nothing could have been done better by the defense.
